Can I just enquire to what pro evolution soccer 2008 is like on the ps2 and who the commentators are? Are the commentators good? Someone care to give a summary on it.

The following represents my opinion (read: everyone's got one)
Right! I assume you've played PES6, now imagine identical graphics but with what I beleive better fluidity in terms of animations and more responsive controls, there are also one or two new animations.
Gameplay wise, I think is great (lots of people been moanin' but I like it and I've been playing since the ISS series). The whole philosophy appears to be attack minded, with the empahsis on faster gameplay and you'll notice the AI taking shots from waaay behind.
Controls as I mentioned much tighter and responsive.
Sound, the commentators aha, well I forgot their names but waaay waay better than PES 3/4/5/6, new guys and it sounds alot more like FIFA (not a bad thing).
Whats annoying are the goalkeepers, they are a bit too idiotic this time around although I've noticed new option files that give them more skill points and that helps. And those blasted refs, much more "strict" than previous rounds.
Overall, it still kicks FIFA in the groin and still the best football game out there

I find the PS2 version very similar to PES6. The commentary is better, good option files for PES 2008 are available and I like the playability. I also like the fact that more stats are available with PES 2008 and that the club and player get ratings from the fans. The stories that I hear about the PS3 and XBOX versions are way more negative that the PS2 ones.
