Swap Magic DVD problems

Is anyone else having problems booting up their Swap Magic DVD? I can't seem to get it to boot up a lot of the time.

Yet, my PS2 can boot up all of my original PS2 DVD games (and DVD movies) and it has no problems reading my Swap Magic CD or PS2/PS1 CD games.

By the way, I have a V4 PS2 with Swap Magic 3 and a Slide Card.

A friend of mine who has the Swap-Magic/Slide card combo also has trouble every now and again getting the DVD disc to boot. I put it down to plain old wear and tear and maybe not using a lens cleaner often enough, or mybe even a dirty/sratched disc?
