Swap Magic on old PS2

I have a relatively old PS2, got to be 2/3 years old now, and I have burnt the fishcake mix patch onto DVD-R. Would Swap Magic still work on my oldish PS2?

Well, if a patched version of PES5 works on a PS2 that is 4 years old (v4) with an old version of Swap Magic (2.0), then I suppose it should work with a newer PS2.

Cheers, was just checking before I buy because I seem to remember reading somewhere they wouldn't recommend trying to mod PS2's around that age.

Swap Magic is ok to use on any of the older consoles.

You're not modding your PS2 if you use the Swap Magic discs.

The only modification that takes place is taking off the front panel of the disc tray (that's if you want to use the Slide Card).

For the flip top, you'll have to open up your PS2.
