Tackling

Hi there, i have played this game awhile now and something that really ticks me off is the tackling, is there a special way to tackle? I play against people online and on cpu and they seem to take the ball from me when ever they please, yet my players only try to "touch their bottoms" -.-
Is there anything i can do to actually tackle players

well if you want a standing tackle then hold A while you are chasing someone or just press it if they are within tackling range.
if you want a slide tackle then slide from the front or the side, if you do it from behind then your almost certain to get sent off.

well the online game actual has big problems with lag
its better to try offline how to tackling
