What I meant by that comment before everyone left is the usuals should walk into there preferred position. Everyone knows there's and it doesn't need to he said. It has become too much first come first served this year and it has hurt us Last year people were hounded out of position if the regular for that position logged on.

Difference is last year we started with like 6 for a long time, so it was easy to claim a position as your own. This year we have like 7-8 regulars and no ones wants to defend for the entire session.
I think it's clear that we need Barn up front whenever we play as he guarantees goals. But we have decent players who can come into the other attacking spots, so it would be unfair to say they can't play usless they defend.
I do understand where you are coming from and I too want to win the league title, but you have to be fair still. We've all been apart of this forum for multiple years now, gotta treat people right.

the other issue about defending the entire season is playing in defense becomes much more of a scapegoat position. An attacker who makes a bad pass is not remembered as well as a CB who misses his mark, or makes a bad pass. Yet, attackers are making bad passes or not completing dribbles at a ratio of 20:1 to defenders (probably greater ratio).

Barn has to play at ST but I think the rest of us have to be flexible. Some will get stuck at the back more than others but if we can minimise how much that happens to keep it fair then so be it. If we get back to Div 1 we might do things differently for a few days to get the title but until then we should generally stay as we are now.

I kind of agree with Mak (despite twice typing "there" instead of "their").
For example, Sweey is too cavalier to play fullback, he needs to be on the wing, or in midfield. A lot of the time last night he was ahead of me on the pitch.... and I WAS playing on the wing. Joel is too much of a midget to play lone striker when Barn isn't on.... in face most of us are too midget-y to play lone striker when Barn isn't on.
Myself, I don't really know my best position. Sometimes I play well on the wing, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I play well in centre mid, sometimes I don't. Bish and Alc work best as a centre mid, Original as a CAM, Phats on the left wing, or striker in a front 2.

I like to think as well, when I'm not scoring goals, I can still win flick-ons from goal kicks, which is pretty important. But I honestly don't mind giving other people a go up there - just say the word if ever you want the striker slot, it's not a problem.
I wouldn't want to tell people where they should and shouldn't play. Someone like Ali, for example, is still feeling his way into it. He probably doesn't know what his best position is yet.

Wouldn't say I'm "feeling my way into it" per se, I've played like 100 matches or so. I wouldn't mind playing trying playing as a striker on occasion, probably not as a loan striker, but one of two.
IMO nobody should be telling others where to play. It's only a bit of fun afterall.

I meant loan lone striker. As in I'm a lone striker who has been loaned into the position.
