Phats and I were both suitably impressed on MSN. It was brilliant.

Well with my towering 5'6" it was easy to out muscle and out jump their centre back!

Phat was indeed excellent on ANY. What I liked was that he was not afraid to go route one with the keeper, being as I most often win the headers up top. Dragonfly I think you had a tendency to throw it out, and I think our game works best with a quick thrust forward than patient build-up play.

The 5-4 game, my 3-3 equalizer was memorable, when I bundled it past the keeper and collapsed as it trickled over the line. Shame the time wasting routine in the corner was a complete embarrassment.

Original? that 0-0 was a real pisser, I thought they were going to nick it the way it was going. When Dragonfly had that shot off the bar, my guy would have scored the rebound had he not been brutally taken out by the keeper. As you said it just wasn't meant to be.

Also that one goal when I put in a high chipped ball and Original headed it in was a stand-out, I can't believe that actually came off.

That scramble goal was beautiful as was the punt in the air towards Original? I tended to play it to you Barn as you were great at winning the headers and because your guy was always calling for it. It's best to attack as quickly as possible as constantly charging forward makes it hard for their defence. A lot of punts forward were from me pressing square to tackle which ended with me kicking it off the pitch for no apparent reason. :faceplm:

Why did we have to ruin it and play that last game? I would have stuck around but the power went again.

Before that we had the 7-2, 10-1, and 5-4 over very good opposition. I think me as the lone striker with DC and another supporting on the right works well. Me and DC seem to have a good understanding. The 10-1 was possibly my best performance ever, 4 goals, 4 assists.

That 10-1 match, I scored a header at the back post, but have no idea how, there were so many bodies. Shame someone skipped the replay. I thought I scored some great headers last night, especially the first equalizer in the 5-4 game.

Also that over the shoulder volley was magnifique.

I was booking a seedy motel room for you and Original? during that game. You two were excellent together. I could see that you guys were trying to get me involved, but I just couldn't get anything on target. That shot when the ball bounced on the line after hitting the bar, during the 0-0 game, was a clear message that I wasn't going to score that night.

Two of my games last night were at RCM and in both I got ratings of 10 :smug:

I'm not staying there though, I'm back to RF when I'm next on - feeling like Didier Deschamps in midfield isn't the world's best feeling. The games I was involved in were excellent. Left before the last one so no idea what happened.

Wasn't enjoying my chipped through balls in the first half of the first game. I couldn't make up my mind so kept hitting L1 when pressing :triangle:

Yep, I think a role reversal is needed. You're a better finnisher than me and I prefer playing as CM, where I'm involved with everything. I think my reading of the oppositions was excellent. Countless amount of interceptions. I think I'll add "interceptions" as a strength in that FM10 databaset thread.

I agree about Mullet. I was thinking if we were both on, we could play two CMs, him being the braun and me being the brains. :ninja:

You're good at those sorts of goals where you nip in behind the defence and make the goalkeeper cry. I still remember weeks ago when I was ANY and played a glorious ball over everybody which you volleyed/slotted home.

I think I'll add "interceptions" as a strength in that FM10 databaset thread.

There isn't one but I'd give you high anticipation and positioning in that case. I'm good at it too :> - so mine are fairly decent as well. Post that info either way in the other thread so I see it when I get to your player tonight/tomorrow.

I feel I've been playing good recently, playing more people in... I have changed my set-up to Assisted so now you won't see half as many mistakes as I used to do on the ball lol.

I now know where my best positions are; centre-back, centre-mid and centre-forward. I'm much better in a central position, as opposed to playing out on the wing. When playing as a RF for example, I find it quite hard to stay out on the wing (I found this out last night, when Original? was ST, in the match before I went.)

Personally Bez I think you play best at CB or CM, because it's good to have someone with high attributes playing in these positions, given that there aren't always too many takers.

Sometimes you're absolutely lethal with them and at other times I'm crying because you should have passed the ball the last four times in a row.

Carlo, Mig and I were considering the possibility that Fab only had one button that worked.

I'm happy for you to shoot from distance every now and then as you do ping a few in, but if you score 1/20 it's not a great return. I can only remember you making a handful of passes in all the games last night. It's only recently that you've started shooting as often and I think you're scoring less because you're forcing shots. Don't limit yourself to an arbitrary figure like 1 or 2 shots outside the area, just hit them when you know it's the best option.

I was playing rather poorly last night myself, so I apologise, but the 9 man team was rather hectic to say the least.

To be fair, I think the pass by Sweey could have been better, he went wide just beforehand and it made things awkward. I honestly thought I was offside since I looked ahead of play. Also I'm controlling shit players.

I think I'm done with ANY. Not just because I prefer playing up top, but when I'm ANY my guy gets stick in midfield where he's not really effective.

That was rather annoying, we were flying in those last two matches... between us me and Barn scored three goals in 15 minutes before they quit, in the second we scored another three goals between us and Phatmann nailed a penalty... they quit after about 20 minutes.

Heads up... next penalty we get, can I take it? I need to score one penalty to get the final penalties achievement but I haven't had the opportunity to take one for ages.
