With regards to corners, I'd be happy to take them. I'm unlikely to be winning many headers at 5'6" and I have decent curve. I definitely think it should be an offensive player; as you say it's dangerous dragging players out of position.

Free kicks, I've only scored one for the club but I don't think anyone has scored many? Fab, you seem pretty competent at free kicks, I'm happier with the ones around the edge of the box rather than further our like 27m+.

I am in agreement that you take both left and right corners; as you stated, you're unlikely to win a header and you don't have far to run back. Same goes for Phatmann if he's up front, I guess he should be put down to take them as well. What happens when you're not online? Give it to the next striker? It would be a problem if they're tall though.

I am happy to put myself down for the longer free kicks and you for the closer ones. Like Phatmann said, maybe we should try more driven free kicks - I havnt had many but I have scored one for the club and this was driven, the keepers are very poor and likely to not save them or push it away.

Maybe this is in need for a poll? At least we can get a fair selection - or not.

Basically it comes down to this: if we get a free-kick and it gives it to me, I'm liable to give it to Fab, Barn, Phats or DC potentially in that order. Perhaps if everyone just thinks like that we'll be fine. Fab scored a nice little free-kick the other day after calling me in as the second man.

At corners I usually fancy trying my luck but if DC (that's Original? in this case and the last, not the monstrosity that is Dale C.) is happy enough to take them, I'd pass them on to him.

This isn't hockey or gridiron, we can't bring you off the bench just to take corners and then ditch you again. We certainly don't want you running around when the ball is in open play.

Few things i've noticed from playing four games with this team;

1. Too many long balls.

2. Bez tries to score own goals?

I played RAM for two games, in which I thought I played quite well, getting one man of the match award. One game at RM, which I had to leave halfway through cause my mates were outside, and one game at ST in which I scored 2 goals.

Please, please, please do not play long balls to me, I will never win them.

Nothing I could do about those 2 (?) own goals I scored earlier, the ball was coming down to my chest, and didn't have enough time to control it and then punt it away. The lag in recent sessions has just been so, painfully, bad. I can only play well when there's not much lag.

What about that horror miss you made?... Were you aiming for the corner flag? :laugh: Could've squared it to the dude next to you, for an easy tap-in

Yeah the lag was bad in some of them games.

If you think the driven option is best, let me have a pop at it and get your guy flying in for the rebound. Also, try to drag the defenders away from the open area by the wall so that there's a clear shot on rather than loads of players in the way blocking the view.

That game where we lost 4-3 after bringing it back from 3-1 down was soul-destroying. When they went 3-1 up it looked like it would end up a massive loss as they seemed to just thump it in from wherever. Also, sweey looked alright as ANY despite his warnings that we would lose.

So you noticed my shit driven efforts. I'm not great at free kicks, I've scored 2 but am desperately trying to get a few more to boost my accomplishments. I will hand them to you in future.

The 4-3 was a cunt ripper. I was hoping we'd hold it up a bit more near the end because I panic in the last minute, especially if we're drawing. Defenders were fucking about royally.

If you see me experimenting with formations (3 at the back), don't go on if it fails. I'm just not convinced we've found our best one yet. The ideal is something that provides a good amount of cover, and yet doesn't stifle the attacking play.

I think we all expected to lose heavily when I made that debacle of the opposition's first run on goal and they scored. I also made a massive error of pushing up too far when they went 2-1 up but as I said on MSN last night, the highlight of FIFA 09 and 10 so far and perhaps even more was that ball from my centre back over everybody which Original? volleyed home. Did that ever make me feel good and the 4-2 win could easily have been 6-2.

I had some odd moments at the back, including late on when I couldn't decide whether to go all Italian and pass it around at the back to waste time as they weren't closing me down or to carry on. I'll get better the more I play as ANY, I imagine.

I do think a top quality team would rip me apart at the back but if I'm only on ANY now and then I should improve without too much damage to the club and it gives Barn a break.

I think it's been mentioned but when playing as 'any' it does help greatly if someone plays at the back at the same time.

Controlling the whole back four with random shits is hard work.
