I don't want to continue this argument, I just don't like it when certain people are picked out for criticism when it seems like the whole team is at fault in some way or another. When we lose, unless it is glaring, I don't see how you can blame one particular player. I've never been one to publicly lament a player for getting a red or giving away a penalty, you just brush it off and move onto the next game.
Please take my posts in the manner they have been intended, debate and improvement. There is nothing wrong with criticism if it's constructive. The headless chicken comment was made only in jest, but since then things have become more serious after I believe you genuinely took offence to Phatmann's comment. As I've said previously I have no problem with people indicating flaws in my performance if I can improve on them.
You're one of our best players and have obviously contributed a lot to the team but there's always room for improvement. Please don't see this as 'an attack' because it most certainly is not.
I also don't believe your VP is useless in open play, he's a good passer of the ball and has a good finish, however, running into channels isn't likely to suit him due to his lack of pace. Everybody's VP has strengths and weaknesses (except maybe Fab's who seems to be an archetypal all round midfielder) and we have to play to them.
The problem was giving the other team 3 and 6 goal head starts. Now I don't know about you, but at that stage I'm trying all sorts of things to try and make a difference.
This is a result not an action, we didn't choose to give them 3 and six goal head starts... we made errors which led to them achieving those head starts. At this stage we need to get back to basics and do the fundamentals right, I appreciate that you want to make a difference, as does everyone. However, losing your positional discipline isn't the best way of going about this, even if it's tempting to try and get involved as often as possible. Sometimes you can be more effective off the ball.
Being as I usually don't get to play as strikers, I still think my goal ratio is highly impressive, and I bet you my VP must have at least half of them. Is there any way I can check this?
About finishing, all I'm saying is this: my guy doesn't get as many chances, so it may seem like he's doing less than say, someone who has lots of chances, being a striker, and thus clearly appears as though he is doing more of the team. I put you and Fab in during that 3-2 game for good chances to equalize, but evidently that appears to have been forgotten.
I personally haven't said your record is anything other than impressive, I just wanted to ensure you were aware of how the statistics are recorded. Your goals to game ratio is impressive and you make a lot of assists.
[Edit]To find out how many goals your VP has scored you could take the sum of all the goals scored when playing as a Forward, Midfielder and Defender from the Pro Leaderboard statistics. This would give you a minimum number of goals your VP has scored. Unfortunately, though I suspect EA capture the data there is no way I to dissect the goals scored as ANY that I have come across.

Regarding finishing, again I haven't commented on your finishing ability (which is more consistent than mine). Furthermore I don't remember denying that you played me and Fab in for chances to equalise and I'm still annoyed I missed that opportunity. My point was not regarding your passing or finishing, it was regarding your positioning. If you can discipline your positioning I think you'll be excellent at LAM, the trouble is you seem to want to do everybody else's job for them. Then we tend to get our players crowding in to small sections of the pitch, bumping into one another and struggling to pick a pass as we're not utilising the space.
I wonder if the problem when you play a single position is you feel like you're not contributing the same amount as you do when you play any because you're not directly involved in the play as often? I think we are all guilty of this to some extent, but as a team we have to trust every other player to do their job properly. If we're busy trying to compensate for another player we're unlikely to fulfil our own role.
Again, if I thought you were shit I wouldn't bother typing all this so please don't take offence.
