I have read pages 1-9 of this thread and cannot wait for my game to arrive tomorrow.

Hardly! The first game could have gone either way to be honest. Was surprised it ended 1-0, as you had a few chances to equalise. The second game, well, the red card was the changing point. As for the final game, I thought everything was going to go fine and then all of a sudden I got hit twice on the break! Really good games though, a lot of fun.
You're a strange player to read though. It seems like you're calm one minute, but then a few seconds later, I've got 5 men attacking my defence at different angles. It's hard to anticipate.

This whole controlling-one-player business is going to take some getting used to, but last night was great fun. I even opened my PESGaming FC account with a half-volley from a free-kick delivered by Mike, although I defended pretty poorly in all the games I played.

i enjoyed most of the games last night as well nifty!!
My virtual pro still is pretty shit, especially when it comes to acceleration and pace, whcih is why i dont defend much. If i'm playing up front and do some defending, there is no way in hell my vp will make it up to the attacking play so i tend to float in midfield.

Why on earth didn't you put me through in the last game last night when I was ahead of you making all sorts of runs and staying onside at all times? We were leading 1-0 at the time but ultimately lost 3-1.
If you play as the target man (lone striker in 4-3-2-1 or alongside me, Phats or DC in 4-3-1-2), don't sprint back or come back further than our side of the centre circle - it gives a long option and helps you keep up with attacking moves as myself, Phats and DC have extremely fast players.
Nifty, though you struggled in the first game I didn't notice any particular nightmares later in the night so you can't have done that terribly. Nice goal from Phats' free-kick too. Not sure which camera you're using, Tele is good overall but I think Phats prefers the one that centres on your player in defence - Tele was a nightmare for my stint at right-back.
A serious point of note - whoever is put in defence at set-pieces, STAY THERE. All it takes is one of the three to move forward and we're done for at a counter-attack. It happened last night with me, our CF dumped in defence by the CPU for a corner, up against two men who somehow screwed up the chance. It happened the last time I was on a few ays ago as well. Also, if we've got a free-kick and you were dumped in defence and the opposition get a goal-kick from it, you'll still be there and the regular defenders won't be back yet - so stay until they are!
