Just to confirm, I thought you were excellent in goal Gun Runner, you made a couple of mistakes but also made a couple of phenomenal stops that more than made up for it. I had a mixed performance, I thought I played well enough at ANY though Desi missed a couple of sitters in that game. Lag was back with a vengeance though yesterday which was disappointing as Saturday it was far smoother.

Cheers mate, I'm still getting to grips with GK so I'm not surprised I'm making mistakes, trying to cut as many out as possible though - most of them are stupid, avoidable mistakes.

The ones that really piss me off are when the opposition are running towards goal and they just cut it back for a tap-in, bugger all you can do about it yet so frustrating!!

I got rated 10 in a match last night which I was chuffed with although to be honest (for accomplishments sake & the teams) I'd take a standard 7.0 rating for a clean sheet & a win anyday

Went on the squad and noticed I won a lot of man of the matches, had 32 I think and the nearest was Barn on 16. I have played quite a few games though and mainly up front.

about 15-20 games ago I had a brilliant goals/assists:games ratio but obviously since going in goal that's went right downhill...ah well!

I was on quite late tonight and the only game I played a small part in was against some wankers who thought it'd be funny to wear white even though we were wearing white :S sorry to say I quit.

Enjoyed the irony of saving a penalty in a game we lost 3-1 and then having a penalty saved in a game we won 3-1.

That team we lost to were good, but I just hate losing now. We win almost all the time, that losing feels weird and wrong. Don't like it!

The fact that I couldn't get any passes to you guys was frustrating me too.

I want to play them again!

On another note though I'm really enjoying being a goalkeeper the now - something different anyway some games can be frustrating though especially if we dominate because I literally have nothing to do...

Yeah, the lag wasn't too bad for me either although I was cruelly cut off just as the ball had been played through to me, setting me up for a 1 on 1 with the goalie. It all started moving in slow motion as the ball was passed and then as the goalie smothered the ball at my feet the connection has been lost message came up. However, going by my 1 on 1 efforts in general over the course of the night, I would've most likely missed it anyway.

You didn't really miss them. You were just being a great sport and passing the ball to them :tongue:

It might be me but finesse penalties seem to be readily saved and don't find the corners like Fifa 10.

You can find the corners, but it's all about timing - knowing when to let go of the power bar and most importantly, the direction. I usually find that letting go of the direction just as both feet cross the edge of the penalty area works. It's all split-second timing, though. I find it easier to score without finess.

Yeah I had fun in the middle alright. Whatever I missed you seemed to clean up and vice versa, on most occasions.

That last game though with both teams in white was a bit odd. Still can't believe we salvaged that with a win at the death! :lol: It was pretty ridiculous tbh. I did kind of enjoy it at times though.
