just thought i would let you know that dribble speed is how fast players can run with the ball and not speed. eg if a player has the ball under control and starts to run it will only be as fast as his dribble speed but the defender chasing him will be running as fast as his speed stat. i know this is silly but once the computer classifies the player as having the ball (even if you double tap r1 and the ball is nowhere near you) you can only run as fast as dribble speed. As you will notice henry's dribble speed is slower than his speed. I suppose they were trying to make it true to life ie generally ppl move slower with the ball but they dont cancel this when the ball is far away eg when u run with double tap

Well, the farther ahead you hit the ball the closer your dribble speed gets to your actual speed. When you use supersprinting it is pretty close.

I do believe that the dribble speed is not a set value but a proportion of the player's actual speed btw, so Henry with 85 dribble speed is still much faster than a guy with 85 dribble speed and only 75 run speed. I could be dead wrong about this though (any strat guide people care to clarify?)

hey I've got no problem with the game at all, or scoring, or finding space etc. I'm just saying the pace thing is fucked is all. It's not really evena problem, nothing to take the game back or anything, was just agreeing with the original posters point really. CHILL PEOPLE

It is irritating though - Djibril Cisse, the fastest man alive, got caught by Matthew Upson of Birmingham in my game the other day. Furious.

Ever scince i started using the attack and defence arrows it has given my game a new dimension, players actually make runs which you can pick out and i took note of the dribbling speed which help me choose to pass to players which can run with the ball and take effect.
I started this post so i shall end it.
In future if i moan about any pro evo it means i like it.:innocent:

well tell you what i agreed to who ever posted this thread that was a few dayz ago but omg it just clicked the other day and realised the pace of the game is amazing and fast as long you kno what your doing and yes i agree with everyone who has argued with this thread its how you play determines theres no way henry really could out run a defender one on one ok a slight chance which in pro evo 5 you do get if you time it rite but have u ever noticed who ever wrote this thread cant play the game and it aint clicked, but wat you get is a realism as in football a player runs onto a ball most of the time not with the ball thats how they get past a defender, defenders do catch up sooner or later y because one your either coming from the wing and in where you have to turn which slows you down and to its how fast they can go wiv the ball not how fast they are without it, this game is near enough perfect i've even come to respect the ref as i get not many fouls a game now because its all about timeing
