i do this in master league when i start, then as i buy new players i try and keep them in their numbers, just giving the newer players higher numbers or the numbers of those i have sold.

i make a big deal of who i give certain numbers to tho, like 8, 9, or 10

I'm particular with 18 as well - it must go to the second most creative attacking midfielder in the squad (number 10 being the main playmaker), 20, 21 and 22 have to be midfielders with a degree of creaetivity and 4 and 8 must be defensive/hard-working midfielders.

I only play around with the team numbers if it's on Master League - then I am very precise.

By the way I voted Edit - although I'm only gonna change the names of the English teams.

Yeah i agree but they don't show too much notice to our teams but i don't mind too much even though Celtic have been in the last 16 in CL past 2 years and we got into the Uefa final we'll still be worse than say West Ham

Yep, edit mode is my first stop, probably start of by checking out the pixel editor, (just to make sure it is there, and works the same as PES6) then ill probably edit some boots, don't like how almost everyone gets the default plain black ones.

Team, league, cup/comp, and player renaming (if necessary; I'm hoping ALL players have real names this time, so we don't wind up with duplicates from the national teams in ML), making sure transfers have been accurately represented, followed by viewing "Track Record" (if it's still around) to find out who/what I can unlock, then I'll devise a plan of action to unlock everything in the least amount of time. Once all that's done, then I'll create a player or two and hit up ML & BAL. I almost never play exhibitions.

Good point, the duplicates are a bitch alright, just like the fake names in the Saudi Arabia and Iran squads, takes forever to get all that stuff done. The duplicates are not so bad as long as you can edit nationality, as you can just make someone who is not in the game already and avoid having "Keznan" or "Gils" pop up in the transfer market.

first thing i will do that i have done for many years as i believe it has become a trade mark for me is a exhibition match between liverpool and everton (com) now at anfield and see how many goals i can put past the rubbish toffee defence.

dude i never renamed the fakes/copies i went to team register or sommot and got the real kezman in the team!
