Game: Football Manager 2008

Format: PC

Time: Mondays, Tuesdays, (possibly) Wednesdays and Sundays, from 7pm onwards (maybe earlier on the Sunday)

I would prefer to start in some obscure place, of which could be written many an amusing post - but I'm easy-going in general. Leagues with less teams tend to be good for online games, as the times you play each other come around more often.

Haha. I'm sure we've tried an FM online game several times before and it never seemed to work out. However, I am still interested in participating as I have loads of free time.

I think in the past when we've tried it, it's fallen apart because none of us had very reliable free time to count on.

I think we've all reached an age where we're working, or studying in further education, which tends to be more predictable - especially as far as what hobbies you do goes!

I agree. The FM thread seems more active too from the occasions that I've glanced at it. How many players do you think we should aim to get? Too many and it'll take an hour to get through a day, but too few and it could be a bit rubbish.

I think 4 would be enough, and 7-8 is getting into cumbersome territory. 5-6, in a small league, would mean we would have almost half of the division, which makes things interesting often enough.

There would of course need to be a story to go with it. I remember a successful CM 01/02 game I had with a few people on another forum - and the three-week-long battle to sign Joao Paiva. The stuff of legends. :D
