so far all is working accept the cdmage part.
I cant save, the option: "Save boot image" isnt selectable?
what am i doing wrong?

Using cdmage version: 1.01.5

correct me if im wrong but i think u need cdmage beta for that.

Nope, taht file is a dummy, so it is not needed.

when i Run Winning_Eleven_8_JAP_Rip_Engin e.exe and press DVD / ISO it tells me that it has ripped and that i should burn using nero but it is still ripping the files. I have left this on for 45 mins and it carries on ripping but it does not leave an iso file in my folder. Also when i press dvd/iso it says it cant find a file data_J afs.18. Could someone please help me.

Hey!
Nice job, but i got a problem in step 3!
I extract the files of the iso and the "mxs_Winning_Eleven_8_JAP_PS2.rar" into a same directory, i click the exe file and when i click the button dvd/iso it give me a error like this:

Run time error '52':
Bad file name or number

Note: I have the image of the original iso we8 dvd!

could u help me?

Download mxs_Winning_Eleven_8_JAP_PS2.rar whcih is attached.

Download that.

Use this thread to make an ISO of your WE8 DVD: http://forum.pesinsight.com/showthread.php?t=13882

You can now patch your DVD, if the patch is a DVD patch, but if it is a DVD Rip patch, do it afterwards.

1) Extract all the files BUT dummy0.dat from the ISO with ISOBuster/Apache.

2) Extract the files from the rip kit into the smae folder as you extracted the contents of WE8.

3) Run Winning_Eleven_8_JAP_Rip_Engine.exe and press DVD / ISO.

4) Then the game should start ripping, it will get rid of most of the commentary, and make the quality of the menu go down. This will take around 30 minutes according to your PC specs.

5) Open the new iso you got on cdmage, open as mode1/2048, and choose to save it as a mode2/2352.

6) Now you can apply you DVD rip patch, if you haven't previously.

7) Now just burn with your favourite program! Lowest speed.

I suppose this method doesn't work on PES4 or does it? The file says Winning_Eleven_8_JAP_PS2.rar.

I got the same problem here except I don't have the BETA version. Waiting for my copy from play.com. If the game doesn't arrive tomorrow then heads will roll..

hmm when i try to convert from mode1 to mode 2
1st, i have iso 700 mb then after converting to cue i got bin 798 mb
i knoe this wont fit on cdr. what i supposed to do now ?

Get an 800MB CD-R.

You CAN fit an image of upto around size 850MB onto a 700MB CDR.
Images work differently to data files.
Just burn as image and it should work.

BTW, the cue file should always be around 1KB. It is the bin which is big.

how big should the iso file be at the end of the 1st phase (for the people that have modchip)??
and for the people that have swap magic how big should the iso file be? cus mine is only 48KB?!

Has ashmufc abandoned everyone who needs help in this thread? Hopefully not.
I don't have the answers for WE8 but I'd advise you to buy PES4 and patch that instead as it is much easier to patch PES4.
