you have only 52% victory
(and I play 100 games! - wow - and I have 72%)

Normally i don't say stuff like that, but just wanted to let Mr.I'mkingoftheworld know that his record shows that he's not anywhere near being the best. you're right i MIGHT have a 20% win rate when I hit 3000 games, but I highly doubt that or me hitting 3000 games lol

what is exactly is the problem with 433???
why does anyone feel they have a right to criticise the opponents tactics??

I was playing a 442 myself. But after making some signings, my creative play just collapsed, so i changed to a 433. I am forever changing formations in order to get the most out of my players. Realistically there are not many formations you can actually play.

Which is a shame, I wish Konami would get rid of the position requirements.

The problem with the 4-3-3 is that a lot of cheesers use it. They buy the quickest players, put them on the wing, and do through balls to them over and over. It's not an unbeatable tactic, but it ruins the fun of the game when someone keeps doing the same thing over and over. Another criticism is that it's not really football, more like pinball. I might run into 1 out 7-10 players who will actually pass the ball back (which can be more dangerous than some people realize, I score most of my goals after passing back).

It's like in Madden NFL football, some people will call the exact same 3-4 designed plays the entire time. Not fun.

If I get back into Pes, I was going to try a formation with two deep DMs, two WFs, but not sure if I would put the other 2 as AMs or SS. It's a popular tactic in FM11 right now and wanted to see how it translates to PES.

Update to my team -

---------------Lloris------------
Eboue--Campbell--Gilberto--Gibbs
----Song---------Vieira---------
------------Fabregas-----------
Shevchenko---Chamakh---Henry

Wilshere on the bench.

The Arsenal team is nearly complete. I have £3m in the bank following a Div3 final appearance last night, which is going to go towards RVP as cover for the forwards, or replacing Shevchenko who will drop to the bench. Was having a horrible time of it, dropping to a 420 rating, but last night had an amazing run of games and ended up on 498 after losing the final 2-0. Disappointing to not be promoted, as the money is so much better, but happy that I pulled it round with the lads.

Cesc has been immense. An outstanding purchase.

I understand what your saying, but i do not reapeatdely pass out to the wingers, i do have pacey ones but like u feel this is not attractive football. i play more of a possesion based game, similar to yourself by the sounds of it.

i have played many who do abuse that tactic, but many others that also play 4/5 players upfront with no midfield, which in my view takes alot out their game. the thing is if they do the same thing continuously it can become easier to play against i find. for example if they ALWAYS look for there lwf i will ALWAYS go straight to there lwf before there anywhere near passing to them, intercept the ball. most people that play that way tend not to have many, if any other moves in their pocket. and more often then not, the opponents narrow mindedness puts a smile on my face. this aint rocket science its football, and in football when someone is causing problems u either do a shawcross (break their leg) or mark them!!

i seem to remember jose mouriniho doing this with chelski, with duff n robben on either wings

About fair play - I even kick the ball out of play when some one needs to 'pause'. No one has ever returned the ball yet.a

Their narrow-mindedness may be easy to counter, but it still makes for a boring game especially for players who long pass all game. Then it's even worse when they latch onto one of these balls and get a fluke goal from the poor ai defense.

I don't want to play against the same thing all the time, I want to feel like I'm playing with people who know a thing or two about playing soccer. Occasionally I do find someone, and we chat it up after the game.

btw I kick the ball out for pauses as well.

How can I make around 53,000,000€ fast? I had a quick math and came up with around 1000 matches. (53,000,000€/1000=53000). But if I manage to play loads of cups the match count will be around 700 I would think.

The reason why I need this is for the build of my Tottenham team.

Promote to division 1, play some very high valued teams and join those empty division 1 tournaments. The other day I probably made about 6-7 million. I won a division 1 tournament and during quick matches I was paired up with this team worth 250 million 4 times in a row. Even when I lost I made about 100K profit, when I won (beat him twice) I got 900K which is 600K profit for me as the quick match fee is 300 something thousand.

The tournaments in division 1 are always empty, like 2-6 players most of the time. So guaranteed quarter/semi final spot.

Anyway, now that the pathetic little flame war from the previous pages is over, I can return to this thread after a bout a month of ignoring it.

I took a few weeks off PES as I was unfairly relegated from division 1, in my opinion anyway. I was like 10-11 points above the limit at midnight, so I just find it extremely hard to believe the relegation limit rose so much.

Anyway, I decided to spend the 8 million I had saved for weeks. I also sold my second gk Butt as I practically never used him. I upgraded Friedel to that fake Ukranian gk thats rated like 95. He was cheaper than Buffon (1 million) and Julio Cesar (2 million) so in the end I went for him, even though I don't really like having fake players.

I also upgraded Silva for Iniesta, very pleased with that. Didn't expect the improvement to be so noticeable, on the ball Iniesta is just so much better.

I played a couple of tournaments, saved some money and now I have about 9 million again in the bank. I'm going to raise a few more million and then upgrade Forlan for Messi.

That means I'd still have a bench consisting of Chivu (all defensive positions) and then Van Der Vaart (all attacking positions). Seems good to me...

Oh yeah, forgot to say Friedel scored 4 goals for me in his 300 appearances. Twice from a penalty (when there's a real jerk of an opponent) and twice from a corner when I send him up in the last minute. Kind of funny, he scored more than my sidebacks during those 300 games!

Chamakh--------------Henry-------

A few 20 rated players.

Absolutely storming Div 3 right now on 572 points. Won my first Div 3 cup over the weekend too. Looking at swapping Eduardo or Chamakh for Van Persie soon. Problem is that I love both of them in the game. Great players.
