Let me know how it is cos I might get it. Heard there's not much button bashing anymore, more strategic.

From what I saw in the manual I think that's true. It seems like it's more about the rhythm rather than how often you can press the button. I'll let you know what it's like.

That Quantum Conundrum game looks pretty good, from one of the creators of Portal. Anyone getting it?

I got the London Olympics game with my new PS3. I probably won't pait until tomorrow, though.

Hmmmmm, a combo of 'play' and 'wait'?

I'm a bit disappointed by the events included in the London 2012 game. Comparing it to the Beijing 2008 game, there are several omissions: 800m, 1500m, 100m Hurdles (women), Pole Vault, Hammer Throw, Parallel Bars, Rings, Floor Exercise, Beam, Uneven Bars, 10m Air Pistol, Judo, Team Pursuit Cycling. The events that have come in: Team Archery, 50m Freestyle Swimming, 3m Synchronised Springboard Diving, 10m Synchronised Platform Diving, Trampoline, Keirin Cycling, Single Sculls Rowing, Beach Volleyball. The Track and Field events seem to be mostly men only whereas they were men and women before while the swimming events are now mostly men and women whereas before they were either men or women only.

Overall the game can be quite fun but I still struggle with the same sort of events and have already broken several world records in certain events e.g. 200m, Discus, 50m Freestyle which is a little ridiculous as I managed to get them after 2 or 3 tries. I can't get to grips with the Kayak, High Jump, Archery, Trampoline and Diving plus the Beach Volleyball is terrible. The AI is useless and there are plenty of annoying glitches e.g. the opponents digging the ball out even though their hands were 10 yards away from the ball

It's worth playing if you have a great interest in the Olympics or if you have enjoyed previous Olympic offerings such as the Athens and Beijing games but I wouldn't spend over £30 for it.

Just played the Quantum Conundrum trial. Pretty good, I'll probably buy the full game at some point in the near future. Does anyone have it?

Later this year, Formula One is going all Super Mario Kart in a brand new arcade game that promises post-pub brilliance. Welcome to F1 Race Stars.

It's scheduled to hit stores in November and was created by the same minds behind the official F1 games. In this, cartoonised versions of Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel and chums go racing on circuits such as Silverstone, Monaco and the upcoming Circuit of Americas in Texas.

Naturally, these circuits have been rendered in ‘fantastical' visuals (think Toy Story), and feature rather different challenges than their real counterparts. Like loop-the-loops and hairpins reaching up into the sky. Bernie, take note.

It also offers players the chance to collect power-ups which can then be ‘deployed', and it offers split-screen racing for up to four people, along with a ‘career' mode. It'll be available for Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and PC.

So far, just six drivers from the 2012 season have been rendered, but, says Chris Gray, the game's senior producer, "we're really excited to bring the whole cast of F1 into a fun new world of racing. We've really let our art and design teams off the leash to bring F1 stars' personalities alive in a new way."

That sounds ominous. Still, have a gander at the preview trailer below and let us know if you think this could be a stroke of genius. And also let us know what super powers you think each driver should have...

Not sure what to think of this. Could just be a shitty F1 spin off, or on the other side of the coin, it could be a fun little racer.

Shall have to keep an eye out for further details.
