The key to a better CPU gameplay:

Is tuning the sliders of all teams.

Even in Top Player the CPU never threaten´s to score enough... in PES 2009 i would have difficulty to win in Professional. Now, even in Top Player i don´t feel threatened by the CPU because either they attack very poorly OR defend very poorly.

The slider settings seem very deep and REALLY make a diference on my team when i change them but everithing is at 0 for cpu.

What if we created a topic with GOOD tactics for the CPU?

really lazy programming was put into this game, you can see it in so many aspects of PES.

i tried editting all these sliders but since i do half my playing with my mates on the same console it just meant that you'd have to remind them to reedit them every single game or the AI would take over the game for you.

Could have easily been avoided and made the game way better but lazy shitty programming got in the way.

Yeah I started a thread recently just for this, but just haven't gotten around to trying it out. I also wanted to wait until the patch was released to see if they might have fixed some things, but it seems like some adjusting is still needed.

Here is the thread, which I will bump because I am still interested:

You see it is dedicated to the "Team Style" settings found in "Tactics" but I think it could be left open to any adjustments that will help improve things.

seems to me like everyone is having the same problems with this aspect of the game, would adjusting the sliders make it that little bit better? would it be worth it?... i agree with the guy who said its just lazy programming... konami know what they need to do but each year they release rubbish pes games riddled in bugs all because the want to release an annual pes each year,

they should skip one year and and knuckle down make it great again and get back to basics and take out that stupid dive option, otherwise fans will just stop buying it altogether then konami will stop making pes games because it'll not be making money so fifa will get lazy because they'll have no competition.

sod knows what changed maybe it was the jump from ps2/xbox to next gen consoles maybe they couldn't cope with what the fans expected because pes was sweet on ps2,

a old saying suddenly pops into my head right now.. "you cant polish a turd"
