The new fliptop PS2 do you all reckon it will play patched games????

I've seen the new slim PS2 advertised in the papers and in the shops and noticed that it has a fliptop lid does this mean you can play pathced games using the fliptop lid theory.

I am not sure, although I have heard that the new PS2, is abit lenient on playing import games. So who knows.


Can somebody post pictures of the new model from the flip-top angle ?

Has anyone purchased the new PS2 yet????? I would assume it would play the patched games as long as you use a boot disk.

If there is a fliptop created for the newer slim model, I am sure that it should work but if the boot disk fails to load, then there is no hope but to chip the console. Chipping is illegal though.

Right............so can the new slimline PS2 be chipped/modded? Would be nice to know as they are fu¤%#& sexy little beasts and quite cheap as well. Just imagine, I paid £299 for my PS2! Those were the days eh? Waiting to hear from Dixons if your PS2 unit had arrived as Sony had not produced enough eh? Knobs! I haven't forgiven them yet.

I've read that they can be chipped. Might be better to wait a while so that people know what they are doing as it's still quite new.
