Larsson, do you think faster passes are somewhat realistic ?? Don`t you think that in PES3 they were too fast..?? I like WE7 passing system..

me2, I think WE7's passes fast enough. who knos wut Konami were thinking :\

I don´t like the fast passes too, but since the overall gameplay seems not to be faster I can live with it

i'm scoring headers more easy in we7i, am i the only one??

not as easy as in pes3 but more easy then in we7, headers are MUCH more powerfull compared to we7. but overal the game has become harder then we7.
and the advantage ruling works absolutely great now!

Alright Larsson, you obviously have played WE7 for enough time to decide which game is the BEST so far:

a) Winning Eleven Seven (release date: August 7th, 2003) format NTSC-J
b) Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (release date: October 17th, 2003) format PAL
c) Winning Eleven 7: International (Japan) (release date: February 19th, 2004) format NTSC-J

Like you already know, I have both WE7 and PES3. IMO, WE7 is alot better than PES3 because the gameplay is slower, players are slower and seem bigger on the pitch (which makes the game more realistic), the ball seems heavier, which once again makes the gameplay alot better, etc. that`s why WE7 is better to me. Now, comparing WE7 to WE7:I (Japan) which one is better in your own words/opinion ?!?! You say gameplay seems faster, that`s something that I didn`t want to happend..is it worth buying this game..after all I`m looking around $75 to spend for this game..

oh, one more thing..is the ball movement same as in WE7 ?? when i say movement i mean is the ball lighter like in PES3 or still like in WE7 where it seems heavier.

WE7:I Jap is better than WE7. Just look at all the improvements they´ve made, passing is faster unfortunately, that´s why the game may look faster, but I think in general it isn´t. Acutally it plays smoother and less hectical than WE7 and PES3. Forget about those situations when the ball bounced between defenders after a corner and you couldn´t do anything about it. Well, it still may happen, but not that often. The way the players move in the offense is great, quite realistic, they move more and go into spaces, which means that you can use :triangle: more often in order to create chances. The crosses and headers look great, however I think it´s a little bit easier to score from headers than in WE7. Volleys seem improved, normal shots also are harder, scored from long distance with a flat shot with Ljungberg, looked superb, never seen that on WE7. Advantage rule is good and refs are improved, now it happens rarely that clear tackles are fouls. You still see it´s basically an updated version of WE7, with the corrections I´ve mentioned, it´s not a completely new game, the differences are not as big as between WE6 and WE6:FE. But Konami definately did work on the weak points of WE7 and they´ve done a good job. WE7:I Jap is the uncontested king of WE series, IN MY OPINION. Don´t worry about the ball movement, it´s a little bit different than in WE7 but very realistic, the ball still is heavier than in PES3. However, if it´s worth spending 75 dollars if you already own WE7 is another question. For me it is worth.

OK a few questions:

1) Is WE7I-Japan better then WE7I-USA?

2) Will the PC version of WE7I-USA be the same as the PS2 version?

3) I have a regular unmodded PS2. Will a WE7I-Japan version work on it? If so, the place to get it is this play-asia.com website?

(I am a noob who knows nothing about these things, lol. Any help is appreciated.)

Thank You

I`m going to help Larsson on this one..hopefully he won`t mind :).

1.) Yes, WE7I-Japan is better than WE7I-USA because WE7I-USA is a clone of PES3 and since we played PES3 since October we know which game is better. Also, WE7I-Japan offers more stuff, updated roster teams, improved gameplay etc.

2.) The PC version always has the better graphics , and I do believe that they are the same.

3.) Your regular PS2 won`t be able to play imported games, because of the format difference. If you live in the states, then we use NTSC format, and Japan uses NTSC-J. Europe uses PAL. If you live in Japan then ofcourse you won`t need anything except your PS2 but if you live in the states or europe then you`ll need a modded PS2 to play WE7I-Japan. If you can`t afford to buy/install a modchip then you can buy a slide-card. Do a search on what slide card is. When you modify your PS2 either with a modchip or a slide card then you can order the game from play-asia.com - If you have enough money to buy a brand new PS2 already pre-modified console then that would be the best option. It will cost you around $300 US Dollars for everything a) a brand new PS2 console pre-modified by DMS3 modchip (the best modchip for PS2) and this is installed by a professional. If you don`t know where to get this then PM me.

I had no idea that there will be a PC Version. This is interesting. I could not run my PES3 properly on my PC, perhaps this could be alternative. Any idea when it will be out. I will not hesitate to buy this.

Hmm from what I have read WE7I seems to be worth buying. I think I will do. The most annoying things from WE7 seems to be lost, headers much powerfull, which is very very good in mine opinion. Will order soon!

BTW un-nicked, please go away with your witty questions about looks and attributes, its not important you can change that by yourself.

I never buy the same game twice , just downloaded final rip version and am happy with it - save many problems with patching, $$ too.

good news, quote from eve web... dude named warpjavier,

Hi all,
This post is just to anounce that the kits and the boots files of WE7i has been decripted.

At the same time I'm posting here, I'm sending the code to Tato and Obocaman, so dont start to ask for new editor versions or less, dont ask for the code.

See you when WE8 will be released....LoL!!!!

WARPJAVIER

PS: Thanks to RCE, whitout him this would be imposible.

haven't been here in a while but......

haven't been here in a while but does WE7I:japan have the new lob(by using the right analog stick to lob) that was only incorporated in PES3. not that this is a big deal but its just one of those little things. i would think it'd definitely be there...
