The Red Ambulance icon?

I've been playing PES5 since the day it came out and have at times (like a lot of us out there), spent several hours playing the game. Yesterday, I saw something on-screen for the first time and was just wondering if anyone else has come across this.

I was playing online (Xbox Live) and fouled the opposition player. The player had to be stretchered off, but then instead of the normal "This player is recieving treatment" message, a red ambulance icon appeared in the top left hand corner and stayed there until I kicked the ball out.

Has anyone else seen this before?? It's the first time I've seen this icon. Also just before I started the game, it also informed me that an update was available for the game via Live - any coincidence?

yeh that happened to me on PS2 it appeared i did not kick the ball out and the ref gave a drop ball

It means the player can't continue and a replacement must have to be put on. Its just a coninsidence I think that it went off when you put the ball out because it goes off eventually anyway

I've had it a few times and i didn't kick the ball out at any times which lead to a drop ball.

gosh!! did u say pes6?? but anyway, it should be an injury without fouls commited.. if ball don't go out of play, ref will give a drop ball~

Yeah I saw that happen to Owen in my Master League... Did not see him again until Week 40. It was like a 15 week injury! Ouch.

I see it quite often actually. If you dont put the ball out the ref stops play and gives a drop ball.

I've been playing Pes5 since its release. I've played more than ten seasons eith juventus since there. I've seen this red ambulance icon nearly each season. Okay i will explain.....for example if a player injury tendency (I do not remember what they called it in the game) is A, so it is rare for this player to get injured such a serious injury. On contrary, the C type player. Another example if your player is injured (Slight injury "yellow icon") during match or is injured before the match and you put him in start lineup, and the player gets injuried in that match, so there is a big propability for the injury to be serious.

Aye, Bowyer got injured but came on and straight after he was slide tackled from behind (Ballack got sent off) and he was taken off via ambulance icon.
