the ronaldo chop trick!

just wondering if the ronaldo "chop" skill is random or if it can be controlled. have been playing 2009 for months and still haven't seen/been able to do it. advice anybody..please?

i think its when he suddenly changes direction (turns 90 degrees) by kicking the ball sideways

He steps over the ball and flicks it inside his direction of run with his outside leg, turning 90 degrees from his starting direction (or close enough) generally used to get on the inside of a defender.
Its not a Ronaldo only trick though, so don't know why its referred to as that above.

(BTW check out 1:26 for Ronaldinho's flip flap - probably the best one I've seen!)
