For people who think it's the commentary which slows the game down (it's certainly so bad that it doesn't improve the game) have you tried just turning it off in the sound options? set commentary to 'no'. i think it helps.

Maybe But I Still Reckon Its Got Something To Do With The Sound Accelleration Settings Which If U Tone Them Down May Well Help!! Has Anyone Tried This? I Did This With Grand Prix 4 When I Had Slow Down Issues And This Solved The Problem!

dj, yep i had slowdown on gp4 and the sound accelaration seemed like it was the cause....anyways GP4 was heavily flawed, as it could barely reach 60fps and was bug riddled like mad....so there could have been a number of things.

It's strange though, how PES3 seems to require a hellof a lot of CPU power as well as extensive physical ram, and the mem from the graphics card!! obviouisly there has been no optimisations. Just shows Konami are still inexperienced in the pc gaming field.

Gp4 Was A Pain The Arse To Patch As Well! I Put On A Season 2003 Patch And The Car Liveries Were All Messed Up! T1000v.2.0 I Mentioned This Coz I Thought It Might Help With Other Users Pro Evo 3 Problems.. I Realise Now That It Could Be Other Factors Alongside This That Is Causing The Problem... I Think Nvidia Drivers And Ati Radeon Drivers Are Part Of The Problem And Also Some Peeps Motherboard Drivers And Agp Drivers....

Anyone knows why I cannot run the game properly after installing already the patch for repairing some unexpectedly abnormal characteristics. My computer reponsed that I have been putting in the 'wrong disk' and required me to let the Customer Support know my hardware's background. What can I do with that problem? Is it feasible to download the patch from the source web KONAMI to fix the game' problems or try in some others to be undestood more deeply?

how old is your cdrom/dvd drive?

it is possible that your cdrom/dvd drive doesnt work with the copy protection on the disc, thats been seen with other games in the past.

you might also want to contact konami customer support

Yeah, you know what, that happens sometimes with my copy....says i have inserted an incorrect disc...but it does start up and doesnt happen much..anyways, now i got the no cd patch.

Have you tried switchiog PES.exe compatability to Windows 98. I have no slowdown at all now at Max Resolution on High Detail Setting

btw djdavedoc, what does format C;/autotest mean?

FORMAT /AUTOTEST checks for the existing format of your disk, unless the /U (UNCONDITIONAL) parameter is also used, and then proceeds with an UNATTENDED DISK FORMAT:

DOES NOT prompt for a volume label!
DOES NOT prompt to format another disk(ette)!
NO delay: NO user intervention!
Ends WITHOUT pausing!
After completion, it DOES display disk space statistics.


Moral of the Story: Don't Do It.
