I've started approaching player stats, commonly updated in custom option files.

Why some stats would updated if not empowering the preferred team? Well maybe some Konami's ratings could be wrong?

What do you think?

BTW, what rules are adopted in tournaments?
What stats are used in tournaments?
Because, there must be some PES tournaments out there....
If official Konami's stats are wrong, there must be some well known and balanced stats? Or?

Other questions here:
- do stats change during the game time (months playing the game)
- does Konami updates stats every year accordingly?

Maybe your sentences were not properly structured and it caused quite a bit of confusion or no one who read the thread knew about the subject, but oh well.

It's a fact that Konami's stat making is somewhat questionable. When they are unsure about a certain player's stat, they adjust it accordingly to his popularity and that of his club. :'(

Konami has some of the worst researchers when it comes to accurately rating a players ability...Several "big name" players in the default database are overrated...while other players who don't have "big names" and play in less publicized leagues are underrated...thus, the default database is unbalanced and needs to be edited to improve gameplay and player likeness:D

It's nice to see the efforts they're putting into it.
Wonder how those stats work. Did you try?
Also it would be nice to know how to merge those stats with Von OF, as it looks like it is the most complete on the logo/kits side....

I have no idea what the Von option file is - I game on PC and don't really bother with what's going on consoles. ;)

Yes, I use the stats for certain players. I trust the guys on there and they actually do put in a lot of effort in making these stats.

I remember reading somewhere last year, I believe it was on Evo-Web in PLF's thread, somebody mentioned, I'm not sure if it was actually PLF himself but anyway, the person said that Konami actually used the stats made by PLF in a PES game. I think it was PES 5 or PES 6. :chanlaugh:

That's just how lazy, I don't dare say bad, their stats department (if any) are. And that's just how good PLF is. :>
