I think the best way to do the option file is to keep only an overall classic team. This way you can keep all the original clubs instead of having loads of teams from different eras.

On my PES5 option file I have all the national teams and major leagues still there plus the following overwriting Panathinaikos etc:

Euro All-Stars
Classic Europe
South America All-Stars
Classic South America
Rest of World All-Stars (ie Africa & Asia, so midfield of Essien, Zokora and Nakamura)

Classic Hungary
Classic Britain
Classic Unified Ireland

Classic Leeds United
Classic Man U
Classic Liverpool
Classic Juve
Classic Milan
Classic Inter
Classic Real
Classic Barca

I'm also hoping to make

Classic Soviet Union (eg Russia, Ukraine etc)
Classic Eastern Europe (except Soviet & Hungary)
Classic Iberia (Spain & Portugal)
Classic Bayern Munich
Classic Ajax

This way all teams are pretty competitive againts each other plus you get some pretty cool combos (eg Stoichkov, Hagi and Savicevic playing together and Eusebio, Figo, Suarez and Gento).

Thanks for the info rsjohal82.

I do intend to do 'best of' teams as it will be easier and will avoid as many inaccuracies as possible. I will hopefully create some 'time specific' teams as add-ons via the 'best eleven' function which will hopefully feature in 6 as it does in 5.

I will consider including some of these teams suggested and if you can share some creations you have made then they will surely be of great help. Thanks. :)

Krook mate you are a legend, is the first post fully updated?

I think so. There may be one or two omissions. If anyone spots any of these, please let me know. :)

Krook,

To be honest I haven't really created much more than created here as I am not too knowledgable of old players. I do alter players as I see fit but this is more down to personal preference.

I also recommend you update existing classic teams to include more bona fide legends eg:

Classic France: Thuram, Desailly, Blanc, Lizarazu, Deschamps, Henry and maybe Barthez

Classic Holland: Davids, Stam, F De Boer, Bergkamp

Classic Argentina: Sivori, di Stefano, Ayala, Zanetti, Simeone, Batistuta

Classic Brazil: Freidenreich, Leonidas, Ronaldo, Romario, Cafu, Lucio, and maybe Ronaldinho

Classic Italy: Meazza, Piola, V Mazzola, Buffon, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Totti

Classic Germany: Kahn, Ballack, Walter

Classic England: Shearer, Ashley Cole, Gerrard, Matthews, Finney, Lawton

I can post my current squad line-ups if required but the players stats are mostly on this thread or made up. I would however love to see a Classic Eastern Europe in the option file as I think they would be the best team after Brazil in terms of skill.

Also I forgot to mention, I have:

Premiership All-Stars (Rooney, Gerrard, Ronaldo, Terry, Henry)
Serie A All-Stars (Nedved, Totti, Nesta, Buffon, Pirlo)
La Liga All-Stars (Ronaldinho, Riquelme, Puyol, Casillas, Xavi)

Maybe all-time versions of these teams could be added?

Don't worry about it rsjohal82. It was a case of 'if you do..'

I will certainly add some of those players to the classic teams, but I'm a little in two minds about what to do with the current great players. I also intend to do all-time versions of each league as there were many great players who didn't play for great teams.

I will post more info about the teams & players when I have determined who will be in it and who they will play for. I hope yourself & others will feel free to give your opinions in the near future...

Been off this thread for a while watching the World Cup (like the rest of you, I'm sure) and finishing a big work project. I can't wait for the classic teams. I just hope that someone will step into the vacuum and make appearances for the in-game PES Shop and Classic players who haven't been done yet. Whoever it is will have big shoes to fill.

For the time-specific teams, will:

Brazil 1958, and 1970
Manchester United 58,68,99
Italy 34-38
Uruguay 30
Argentina 30

be avialable

Hmm... well Brazil 70, Manchester United 68 & 99 should definitely be available. The earlier teams (30's) will be really difficult but I'll see how it goes...
