The Ultimate Classic Player Thread

Hi everyone.

As I am also working on creating classic teams, I have produced a spreadsheet which lists players with their club teams. This will determine who they will play for. I have done it to the best of my knowledge and need quite a few blanks filled in. Will anyone help?

Click the classic teams database link on my sig to be able to download it.

If you have information please post it in this thread to keep it simple and I will update it. Thanks.

Basically I've listed ALL the classic players from the game as well as ones that have been created or that will need creating & then asked for the club teams that they played for. I filled in a fair bit of it myself but there are many that I don't know.

The idea is to determine who will go in which classic team and is also a good way for me to see who to create next to complete the teams.

You only gave me five minutes to answer! Patience Gerd. And to answer your question, no I've been too busy today.

Y'know, PES5 comes along & I've done more editing than playing!

One of only four players to have appeared in a World Cup Finals series for two different countries - the others are Luis Monti (Argentina 1930 and Italy 1934), Ferenc Puskas (Hungary 1954 and Spain 1962) and Jose Santamaria (Uruguay 1954 and Spain 1962) - Altafini was a no-nonsense centre-forward; he was nicknamed `Mazzola' because of his resemblance to the Italian player of the late 1940s. He represented Brazil at the 1958 tournament, where his display of power earned him a transfer to AC Milan, who insisted he play for the Italian national side in 1962.

now I wonder if the mazzola in classic italy is sandro mazzola or jose altafini "mazzola"???

Thanks silomaen for the list, I will update the spreadsheet.

I did wonder which Mazzola it is meant to be, cause as far as I know there are three. I asked the guy who compiled the classic player sheets for PES5 but they haven't replied. I'm sure it is meant to be Sandro Mazzola but even the basic appearance doesn't look anything like him. I don't know how to determine it, maybe height/weight will be a clue.

Anyway thanks.
