Please let me know if you HAVE NOT done 1970s Liverpool and Ireland winger Steve Heighway. I'm planning to have a go at him before long, but I won't bother if you've already done him.

Anyway, this morning I had a go at Pat Bonner, redoubtable Glasgow Celtic and Ireland goalkeeper throughout the 1980s.
I tried to make him dependable rather than spectacular, so please let me know if you think the stats are too high.
I have however given him better than average passing, as well as the special abilities of 1 vs 1 keeper (he specialised in last-ditch heroics), penalty-stopper (career-defining penalty save against Romania at World Cup 90) and, very unusually, playmaker (he gave the assists for all two of Ireland's goals at the same tournament).

Haven't done him, no.

I do have Steve Nicol (from the late 80s side), I'll put him up when I can. A few others too I think, but I forget which. I think I've done Ron Yeats. And I've done Clemence.

Somebody's winding you up Krookwk: I think your Papin appearance is uncannily accurate. Thanks also for the other appearance updates.

This morning I had a go at Manchester United and Ireland legend Johnny Carey. I realise that the stats look inflated, and while I have never actually seen him play (apart from some very short and very grainy clips), Carey was enormously respected during his career ("the Roy Keane of his day") and he is considered to have been one of United's greatest captains as well as perhaps the best player ever to have represented Ireland.

It's tricky to balance a player who should be able to play offensive midfield as well as centre-back, so please feel free to let me know what you think.

Thanks Donalinho, I thought Papin was good, that was why I was surprised to hear negative feedback.

Good player in CAREY, I agree it's difficult to judge them when they've switched positions later in their career. Particulary my PIRRI creation who started as a prolific playmaker and ended his career in defence!

& Biggie4 you've more than made up for your "leeching", I think classic Liverpool is almost complete.

I will post a few new players today as me & YV84 are working on Classic Hungary...
