whats the deal with sony man ? why r these controllers not surviving ? does anyone have problems with the R1 and R2 buttons getting stuck/not working? is there a way 2 fix them. i have had to buy 2 controllers in 1 month and i aint a millionaire man. i play with my homies for about 4+ hours a day. and it aint cool to swop the shoulder button functions cos it just aint the same, u feelin me ?

i h8 playing down my mates, his buttons are fukd, i had to buy 2 brand new 1's at the start of the year and they have been cool. maybe cos ive stoped throwing them about when i get beat! lol

Seriously though, yeah this has happen to a few of my controllers, i mean the top buttons (L1,L2,R1,R2) getting stuck, they still work though.

What i have done is open the controller up then fix the buttons in place then tighten the screws real hard, i think thats the trick.

Yea my R2 button is screwed, and until now i thought it was my sister (shes disabled you see, she plays with her foot). But now i cant blame her for it!

I've been using the same ps2 controller for about 3 years now and it works fine.
Whenever I go to shops and see a pod with a game, the L and R buttons are always mashed or broken off. I think it's just the way some people batter then buttons when they get under pressure in games?

I know what you guys are talking about. However I had a diffrent problem. Sometimes I would throw my controllers over a cup game that it would move my ps2 from its resting place or the controller just came out of the socket. And if the ps2 moved it usually fell off my entertainment center. NOT good at all. So i got me a wireless controller from mad catz. its not bad at all to use. Just dont depend on the vibration function too much. Like in MVP baseball 2005 where it vibrates a little on the edge of the strike zone or alot when its out of the strike zone. ON the controller i have it goes all out or none. Its saved my ps2 and the shoulder buttons while flat and feel a little weird at first feel more sturdier then a sony controller.


P.S I also bought a wireless controller so I can get use to the idea since the PS3 when it comes out is going to have Wireless controllers be the standard. So I've heard.

from the days of ps1 i never had to replace a sony controller. ps1 controllers still work fine to this day and never had a problem with my ps2 controllers made by sony. have a few madcatz and they're pretty glitchy and have slow response.

When i play my mates we usually use a multi-tap or two multi-taps. With the multi-taps i still use my ancient ps1 analogue pads along with my ps2 pads. Ive never had a problem with any playstation pads personally.

my original controller works fine but my bro smacked on the floor and theres a crack in da back on da left and its a pain, works fine and i got it new years eve 2003.

i got a clear blue 1 in january least year and thought it looked cool but now the fuckin r2 always sticks, the analog keeps goin on and off, im glad im the only pes freak in my house,

my original controllers had a problem since i got it
the analog sometimes is moved so slightly but its enough to scroll down the pause manu on its own.

i know people who have gone through a bunch of controllers aswell and play on controllers with wires hangin out and shit.

i think ony does it on purpose so more people spend 20 quid ago on controllers.

funny enough my controller bust for no reason last night
I was playing on my game 2 nights ago and i went to go on it last night and the :x: button and the d pad just wern't working so i have to use my crap 1 now which the buttons get stuck on
