Hey
I'm having some major problems in PES2009. I always play with my friend with gamepads on the same computer. The problem is, say if my opponent is attacking and I'm on defence, and I'm Barcelona. I've selected Milito and am chasing Ronney, my Puyol, who is not selected, slides at Rooney and gets a Red Card, and many times has resulted into a penalty. This happens almost every time. Not always with Puyol and Milito, that was just an example. How do I stop my defence from sliding automatically?

This is the most irritating problem in PES2009. Fuck Konami for creating this problem. You only encounter this problem? I already made 17 saves of replays show many Stupid AI problems. I will try to load it onto youtube. I will post it here to show t everyone when it is done.

Although there is so many stupid flaws in this game, some still claim that this is the best ever PES game?!!???!!! @#ZX$#@!!!

Try not to stay behind the player following him for a long time because if you do another player will obviously come to cut down the attack ... Once you feel that Milito can't make it , change players immediately ...

Another thing is when shirt is pulled for a long time, it will obviously mean that you can't make it, so another player will have to stop him in one way or another ..

Yeah man its really irritating....I've lost count of how many red cards I've received and penalties I've given. Really messes up my game.

Heh, if u want to stop the AI from sliding u have to stop holding the pressure button. When u use the AI to control the player to pressure the opponent, it tends to do that 'automatic slide'. So try to control the player without holding A button and maybe auto slides wont happen.

if you don't it then press the pressure button in "bursts"-
press rapidly or press for a few seconds and go and again..

it happens to me a lot..
does the amount of agression the player has effect that?

This is total insane. How can the AI decides to give a rough tackle without our command? This is X#*XZ@#!! The AI slide tackle even if you onle press R1 !! elieve me! It happened!!!

Can you believe???? All of my friend used to play Winning Eleven almost everyday. We love to play Winning Eleven because IT IS FUN to play. It is enjoyable! Now,
1) Passing really like shit!
2) Striker always shoot direct to goalkeeper!
3) Striker always shoot wide!
4) When our defender gets ball around own penalty box (during opponent attack, our defender succesfully steal the ball from oponent's feet, or sometimes the ball rebound to our defender's feet after an opponent's shoot), why the fuck they always just automatically kick the ball to out of the line, despite no opponent player nearby?? This is inteligent or stupid??
5) The running is awful!

One more time Konami do like this, we should all stop buying this game anymore! We should give Konami a lesson is they dare to repeat. Really feels like Konami has betray us by releasing a game which have so many flaws!

But what about the tackles? How do I get rid of it? I tried pressing the pressure key in bursts but it has no effect.
And also....say when I'm close range with Eto'o, I shoot and it always deflects of the keeper 90% times. Lobbing hardly works. Any other method to shoot from close range?

I personally haven't had much trouble with this, after the first few weeks of PES2009 - you need to change to the player who is in the best position to tackle. If you persist with the wrong player, the COM will step in.

Hey mate, don't worry , i have somehints to you, it might very useful. when you on the defense, normally all of us will press the X pressure button, But after your player closing down to the opposition player, release the x buuton and press square button, then your team player will able to grab the ball. Another thing when the opposition player at your penalty box, please...never press your X button, if not your own team player ( AI or the cursor player) will make slide tackle.

I dont even care about these slide tackles, they dont happen much, so they dont really bother me
