Tictacs and Tiredness

I was just wondering - do any of you guys ever sub players in versus games? I don't mean after injuries or sending offs - I mean for either a) tactical reasons ('oh, Serginho's getting torn apart, I'll bring on Pancaro to shore up the defense) or b) because they're getting tired or whatever?

Actually, I'm more interested in the second one, as myself and my PES mates never pay any attention to tiredness or fitness or whatever. They scare us. We play with the little arrow things set so everyone's fit to start the match, but does tiredness play a significant part in versus mode matches? Do you guys ever sub 'tired' players during a game when you play against your mates?

Anyhoo, that's me done.

Cheers,

TReV

Yes most definately. If you bring on a pacey striker/winger in the last 15 mins against tired defenders they'll leave them standing every time. In games that are 30mins long, the last 15mins are the most crucial in my opinion. I've been 2 or 3 goals down going into the last 20 mins and after bringing on new strikers have turned the game around.

I sub off players if they aren't performing as well as they should.
An example would be France Vs Italy in a national league match in January.
Treze-Gay was being pants so I bought on Cissé (no mem cards allowed so they're all on default stats) and he scored a 90th minute winner for me :)

If they are really low on the stamina bar, I might take them off too.

I ALWAYS subs even 'bit tired' players during the game, vital is getting the players fit to play footie. If I doesn't subs tired players then they are gonna still standing on the pitch or even running slower to chase opponent players o the ball like what mambo say. I am strict about it.

It's different in ML mode though. More subs made for me during ML. Don't want to totally knacker out my better players.

I always sub.. I always use up me subs. Mostly I wait until the 60th minute or so..obviously nothing is set stone but usually around then. I also most the time switch my formation around to depending whether or not I'm losing or winning. But in versus with my friends if we draw then we never play extra time.

I always sub. if i'm behind i will change to a 3-4-3 formation and bring on an extra striker. If i'm ahead by a single goal and i'm looking as if i might conceed then i'll bring on an extra defender. I'll also sub players if their condition is poor or if their stamina is low.

Well, if the teams' form arrows are random or normal (not all Red or Orange), stick a fat-defender on from the start, he should have a rating of 4 or less for 'Condition'.

Watch in despair as opponents just breeze past him later on in the 2nd half.

It would be nice to see a whole team of fatties and watch them all collapsing, coughing and wheezing as the game wore on. :)

I do sub in ML games, around 70-75 mins, if I'm comfortably ahead by a couple of goals. I'd look to take off key players who's form I want to maintain for later games, or defenders/def. midfielders who might be on a yellow card and risk red card for any further offence.

Or, if the opposition have had a player sent off - then I might pick a more attacking player to try to use the extra time and space available.

sub usually around 65th minute, almost always one of the striker as they tend to get tired quickly. (maybe cause I use ronaldo and he's a fatty, el gordito)
then around 75th minute I sub either a midfielder with low stamina or a defender.
I almost never change my formation during the game though, only when the computer has someone sent off or when I have someone sent off.

i only use subs in tournament and ML modes.

i usually use this pattern:
1st sub: halftime
2nd sub: 60-70 mins
3rd sub: 80-90 mins

in games against mates i don't usually make substitutions unless someone is injured or sth...i ML i usually make substitutions on the 60th minute cus some player's fitness/stamina is lots of times very poor...

only started to get into subbing and tiredness factors. i never realised it before in the versus games. julius aghahowa is the best in terms of last 15 minutes substitutions cuz he is so fast, skillful and dangerous.

not to be taken seriously
When we get the banter going in a grudge match me and my mates spend half the time making tactical changes in formation and substitutions, just too piss each other off, and if it works I say stuff like I could be the next Liverpool manager.

i never put the arrows too all red it just pisses me off, seems to play like fifa everyone running around not making any mistakes, if you have it on random it seems like any team can beat anyone on the day.
