Tip for passing w. freekicks

Like me, you may have experienced difficulty when wanting to make a pass with your freekick - typically when you are awarded one in your own half or around the middle of the pitch..? Whenever I wanted to make an elevated pass - using "O" and trying to find a team mate, I very rarely managed to pass successfully..

Lately, I have tried experimenting with the different buttons whilst taking the freekicks, and I have discovered one truely succesful combination!

After having pressed "O" and having gauge like 1/3 or 1/4 up, I now press R2 + "ARROW UP" (i.e. the through-pass button).. The result is that the ball now travels in a high curve (this due to the R2, I suppose) and ends up nicely chested by my team mate e.g. at the edge of the box with a great scoring opportunity!!?

I have done this quite a few times now, and there is no discussion: this truely improves my freekicks..

Just can't really figure out what role the through-pass button has in the equation??

Try it out if you haven't already..

Do you mean the Triangle :triangle: button?

I'll give it a try.
