Tips for scoring goals

I thought I would start a thread for people who wanted to share their general scoring tips for when you are in front of goal. I have two tips so I thought I would make two separate posts so that they are easier for people to disinguish between posts.

1. Run towards the keeper once you have latched onto a through ball, and slow down so that it draws the keeper towards you. Then press the L1 button and tap the shoot button so that it lobs the keeper. The harder you press it the further the ball goes towards the line or over it.

Running it in

Run towards the keeper and then when he starts coming towards you release the sprint button and then change to run diagonally past him. When he is struggling to keep up, take a shot and the keeper will be left helpless.

If u can get it perfect the commentator makes a comment about the keeper being in "no-man's land".

You corker!!

Put the bal in the back of the net. Most effective way I find.

On a serious note though, for me the best way is to chip the keeper. There are two main ways of doing this:

1) :L1: + :square: : This should be used when near the edge of the area. Hold L1 beforehand to slow the player down, then use :square: to lift it over him. The power depends on the distance and height needed - the way to learn is through experience in different situations. Be vary, players with bad accuracy tend to put it up and behind the goal.

2) Down - Up on right analouge: This should be used closer to the six yard line. The ball only goes a short height up but it should be enough to lift over the keeper just as he is diving at your feet. Looks coolv if it goes in. One thing - when it lands it travels very slowly, so a defender rushing back may clear it.

Cheers, I just tried this and although it is hard as fook to pull off, it does look great on the replays.

Scoring an Henry Trademark Goal

I have found a way that makes goals that don't really look that spectacular but are quite easy to score. Run towards the keeper and move the player to the left. As the keeper goes down to smother move the stick to the right and tap the shoot button. You have just sent the keeper the wrong way and the ball into the back of the net.

Its not exactly spectacular, but 6 times out of ten I have managed to score like this.

And you, my friend, unless I'm totally mistaken here, are charged with registering on 2 usernames. Well I have to say you did it so blatantly that you probably didn't know it was not OK. But - my guess is that one of you guys will be dismissed, the other banned.

It's Sgt. Major for you, dirtbag. (Full Metal Jacket voice).

I hope that you were kidding Soli. It doesn't take a great detective, you know. But I think my biggest clue was: "Mark Townsend" and "MARKROBTOWNSEN".

Oh enough already you were kidding.

But that's really unfair. The only reason that I changed was because I realised that I had missed the 'd' off of the end of Townsend and couldn't change it any other way.

I don't want to be dismissed *snivels*

Oh, and I don't want to be banned *bawls*

Its not as if I have done anything like donating points. After all I only have about 55 points as it is Lol!
