dont think i can be of much help except for someone with good long pass accuracy and tall players in the box, make sure people are forward, early balls are kind of hit and miss i think

Try using the wings and when you get to the halfway line press :triangle: :L1: lob pass as it bends around the back of the defence and works better for long balls over the top.

P.s Very good for first time volleys ;)

:L1: :circle: will make your player kick it into the 18 yard box no matter where they are on the field.. good for early crosses...

fanx guys!! the :L1: :circle: and the :L1: :triangle: work perfectly especially for 1st time vollies,(like you said) i tried it just 10 mins ago: duff was in space and i pressed :L1: :triangle: 2 robbie keane and he struck it over the bar, put it still was a brillant move! fanx again!

p.s

Glad the tips helped out. Experiment with the super-cancel move where you fully control the movement of your player using R1+R2 and spin away and into space.

That's true, but conor, try :L1: & :circle: :circle: to whip the ball in low to your forwards. :D
Not many people talk about this move here, but double-tapping the :circle: button, whilst holding :L1: provides a fast, low ball in. Best to do that from the corners of the penalty box or just outside. Make sure no other players are right in front of you though, because if they are, it quite often deflects off them.
Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

Same thing ash. I tried that & it does exactly the same as :L1: & tapping :circle: twice!

if you keep hold of :L1: and press :circle: + :circle: + :circle: the ball will be driven along the ground nice and hard :)

pressing :circle: once will make the ball fly high in the air like a clearance or a high cross for the far post, pressing :circle: twice will make the ball fly through the air mid height to your players chest area (depends where about the player is that your kicking it to) :)

My brother tells me :L1: + :triangle: works better for him if he holds :triangle: rather than just tapping it.

Anyone else got any advice on the through pass?

you don´t have to hold :L1: for a ball driven on the ground
only :circle: + :circle: + :circle: = enough

i have another advice for a though ball
sometimes you get the ball and you tap the button to kick on goal.

but the bar raises very fast to fast to controll

tap very quickly the :x: so that you don´t shoot over, but make a fake shot instaid

this takes lots of training,.. and a great reaction :)
