Well that gives people more time to develop quality patches for 7 rather than worrying about there efforts being wasted by another version of 7 coming out in the near future, that's the way I look at it :)

There's always WE8 hehe

exactly, i'm very happy that they're not releasing a FE, because now people will be working on patches for much longer rather than scrapping WE7, and going to FE

But since WE6:FE was a lot better than WE6, I think I would rather have the better game rather than a better selection of patches.

They won't be releasing a better game till WE8 so we can be releaxed in playing the best game so far. I don't think there's much they could add to a WE7:FE anyway.

Quick, someone get their Delorean and go get us the great patches for WE7!

FE was that much of a drastic step up, but I will admit it was a step up. And it was probably the patches and expert fine tweaking that made FE feel far superior.

But dont you think that in WE7, we have a better football game?
what i mean is i think we7 is a brilliant game with new features on and off the field and add a patch and you've got the perfect game.

I haven't given it enough time to be honest, which combined with not being able to give it the time it needs as I'm flying around the place. I have mixed feelings at the moment and I really need to whack a decent patch on it...roll on WE-World and WeDoIt :)

But there are still gameplay issues, one for me being crosses. No doubt after a few weeks I'll come back and disagree with my own opinion of the game initially but I'm still apprehensive, a few 48 hour sessions and I'll get to the bottom of it :)

Initially the game seems a bit weird but once you've played about 5 matches, you get into it and it feels much better than the previous versions.

Things I still don't like about it are the loading times and the slightly TIF-esque player faces/movements.

For loading times do you think you could take out some of the larger graphic files or audio files maybe that would make it load quicker...maybe we need the right tools first. ;)

I don't know. It's strange as it takes 10-15 seconds to go from the main menu to the editing section so who knows?

I play with the commentary off and it hasn't made any difference in speed, besides less disk access during the match.

Oh, and it's a torture using the Replay Playback mode. 10-15 to load your replay, watch it however you want, then 10-15 to load the menus again. Rinse and repeat etc....

i think all the gameplay probelms people are talkin about are just the lack of familarity to the new game. With every PES i've played i always felt a bit upset about it at first cos the gameplay had changed but once i got used to it i thought that they were all better than the last. i'm sure after many all night sessions and many seasons on master league we'll be playin beautiful football on five stars and hittin some of the best shots we've ever seen.

p.s me personally i'm still waitin for my copy of WE7 from play-asia, it's been packed and currently waitin to be shipped (ship it already! ship it! ship it!)
i'm hopin when i get it there should at least be a decent translation patch available or maybe, just maybe, if there is a god a translation patch with all the kits, flags, logo's etc. done.

like you many of us are waiting for a patch like you described. Just cant wait. Its like christmas. i am constantly checking the wedit website for a we7 patch.

Hey proevo 3, thats a nice avatar u got there! its a shame that sky lopez has got her hands on her boobs. i peersonally would put a an avatar of jordan on mine but wont.

ne way, i hope that there is a good patched version og WE7 coming out in the near future. i think that dynamo should create a patched version of WE7. they customise everything!

Generally, I think the wedoit patches are better than Dynamo ones. But Dynamo has better crowd chants/noises.

hopefully wedoit should make a decent crowd patch this time. Many people have adressed this to them on the wedoit forums so they should correct it.

I think it's better to concentrate on 1 game per year and to keep WE and Pro Evo synchronized so the Europeans don't get ripped off with an inferior game like PES2.

I'd think i'd even prefer them to not release WE8 next year and hang on until 2005 to release it with the Playstation 3 launch. Spend the two years making sure it's perfect.
