Too easy long shot goals

my mate just showed what I find is a big flaw in the game. When he conqueres the ball from me, he takes a long range shot and as the goalie is a little out of the goal, he scores.

That would not be a problem if it happend very seldom. The problem is he can do in every single match!

Is there any solution to this imo fault and are you familiar with the fact that these long shots above goailie is so effective. My goalie is even set at max backwards run in defence. :(

Does he tell you how to do it ?? Ask him next time if so :)
I have recently discovered it out myself, tried it 3 times in a match - scored everytime. It just seems impossible for the keeper to catch the ball...very weird and at the same time funny when you score :cool:

It really annoys me that the goalkeepers in general are very very stupid. Not only do they come off their line and start shouting "Lob me, lob me!", but they let the ball bounce off them for any follow-up attackers instead of guiding the ball round the posts or out to the sides.

this is similar to the long shot from outside in PES3

you need to play your midfield wider, and press him so he can shoot from so far out

I see what you are all saying here guys...

an example of this for me was yesterday. I was playing my dad and he took the lead with a 30 yard shot from Van Nistlerooy...it travelled quite slowly, it looked like my keeper (Dida) had it covered easy...instead he made a diving parry, knocking the ball into the net.

The muppet.

Still...I went on to win the match 3-1.
