Tournie n00b questions

I know these are probably stupid questions but:

What are the standard rules for tournies?

Is there a normal set match minute for the games?

Are you allowed to glance over at your opponents controller during a Penalty Shootout? ;)

Whens the next London based tournament?

Does it cost anything to enter?

Any answers will be great. I am not bad at the game, and wouldnt mind getting a few mates to go down to a tournament and have our arses whooped :D

Hi. Rules change slightly for different tournaments.

Here are some common ones:
All matches 5*.
10 minutes matches.
No extra time in league stages. Extra time in knockout rounds.
Silver goal and penalties in knockouts.

Form arrows set to random or all up/red.
3 subs.
Injuries on.

Daytime/Sunny or random settings.
Random stadium.
Random referee.

There may be a default camera view for matches. Or you can arrange the camera with your opponent if you want to use different ones - one camera per half is fair.

Generally, most of the UK tournie players play on Wide (over 80%)
You can't pause the match unless the ball goes out of play.

Some people play with a shirt over the D-pad and you can do almost what you like to cover it during penalties.

Keep an eye on this section of the forum for the latest info on new tournies all over the place. The official UK finals take place this Saturday - www.pesleague.co.uk

There will be a pes4league taking place shortly after PES4 is released. You'll probably have to win the PES4 demo and get a good score to get a code which you use to register on the site and then you'll get into one of the leagues. More info on that as it becomes available.

Plus there are several unofficial tournaments. The best of which I'd say was the PESTAL series in North London (for PES2) - they have stopped for now and hopefully they'll be back. A lot of the PESTAL regulars are in the pesleague finals.

Any more questions, ask here.

Zyg, do you know any sites which keep up to date with any unofficial tournaments or something? Idlike to have a warm up tournament before the official one gets underway.

We hope that the PESTAL tournies will be back soon. Other than that there is the Warriors Unite one.

Or else you just need to know people who run tournies at their home.

23rd of march was the 'knockout king' tournie for clubs and I had a bit of a nightmare :)
9th of march was a normal national tournie and I lost in the final to Femi.

it was the knockout kings tournament we went to. had a few good games, the first i was winning 3-0 then he pulled it back to 3-3 in the last 10 mins  but he scored an own goal in extra time to give me the win :) (that was a friendly). i ended up going out in the semis then losing to the third place playoff to the guy who was using dortmund, can anyone stop him with koller? lol

You lost 3-1 in the semi to the eventual winner, which isn't bad. That Dortmund player used the default-Int camera well ;)

It was in Kentish Town but that was only for PES2. We hoped it would be back for PES3 but unfortunately it wasn't. Maybe it will be back for PES4.
