if his affection is high you can renegotiate at the summer window. it happend to me with nani and vidic. i thought they were asking too high so i dropped the salary to just above their value and they didnt like it. ie i changed the salary by 500,000 if that.
they had offers from everyone however in the summer i could renegoiate and keep them here. wages are rather difficult to control

i started my ml again. made it upto the 6th season on my first and just was making a loss due to HIGH wage bills and not very big cash amount even when i was selling players and promoting youth players. my aim this time round is to buy aguero cheap as i can and soon and then save as much as i can.

Although Gabby asking for 7Mil now!!! However im goin to accept it for 3 years because hes worth it atm.

Get him for 5 years mate, otherwise at the end of your 3 year contract he will ask for 15 mil whereas you could have had an extra 2 years at 7 mil salary.

All you can really do with wages is drop them 10% at best but any more is risky and not really worth it for your best players. You would have been better off just giving him his 3m and if it was too expensive for your club, sell him.

I did say a few days ago mate :)

Anyhoo, have patience with mr Wijnaldum, It took 3 seasons to get him and cost a fortune but he is still worth it. I'm in 2017-2018 now and he is up to a 95 rating and absolutely awesome.

Yes sorry mate, I did see that.
Thing is I didnt want to take the chance of him not agreeing to it. 3 years will be enough. He'll be 27 by the time that comes around then I can obviously sell him for big money:D
