Transfering Players

I read somewhere that if you create a player from scratch - say Beckham for example using his Man Utd character as a base copy - and then put his country flag as Trinidad & Tobago or a country that is not playable in PES2 & WE6:FE - then you can register him with a Club Team, therefore I could move him to Real Madrid.
Does anyone know if this is true?
I know obviously you would then have to use the same trick to replace Beckham at Man Utd, with say, Ronaldino, and the knock on effect would be you would have to replace Ronadino at PSG but is it possible?

I've never heard of this idea before and I don't think it would work.
But I will check it out tonight and let you know.

Is there the option to choose a flag for a country not playable as a nation in the game? I thought that it wasn't but I always create English players so I'm not expert on that...

Hey Z, It's me Neil. I'm sure I read it in one of my PS2 magazines, when PES2 came out. I know for a fact if you keep going through the countries flags, you get to a couple of countrys not playable in the game. I think T&T has a red flag with a yellow sun. I'm sure it them available for selection whatever, as they have no country to go to. I'll try it tonight. Just wondered whether anyone had heard of this idea too.

its news to me. but even if you can change their flag to trinidad and tobago i'm pretty certain you can't register them with a club team as you can't select club teams from the register player menu.

I tried this method out and it doesn't work in PES2.
You can't register them to any team at all.
There's some interesting nationalities available though.

This helps

What you can do, what works, is as follows:-

- Base copy a player from their national side, eg Beckham

- Register them over the original national team player

- Edit the club player to anybody you like and it will not effect the stats of the national player (notice the national flag is no longer by the side of the player.

Not brilliant I know, but it works!!!

interesting stuff. i still find using base copies the best way to update the squads though.
