turning classic teams in under21/23

hi!

i'm not sure this will be a smart question, but who cares!
the situation is this:
i've already bought the transfers and formation editors, and a few classic teams!
i was i've been trying to convert the classic teams into under21 or under23 teams (i've got no use for the classic teams, the younger the player the better)!
is there any way i can do this without having to copy every players looks an stats to a classic player (example Collin (newcastle) to shilton (classic england)) ?
the same way (or similar) you do to a regular national team???

You can use the national team selection mode to transfer your youngsters over onto the natonal teams from the club sides.

i'm not sure if it works for classic teams but it should do.
