So, you won't buy an PlayStation 3 unless its price is under 200 quid, ok fair enough, good thing your not missing out much. If you really want one go on ebay, lot people are selling new consoles with plenty of games.

I think £200 is a fair price to pay for a games console that will probably only last for about 5 years before a new next generation console comes out.

It's all about thinking economically. I would never pay over £200 for a games console due to the fact that it's a technology product and we all know that technology is an industry where there is constant change and new developments.

I just bought a 40GB PS3 brand new for £200, I saw in Game earlier in my local shopping centre though that the price for 40gb + 80gb are exact same, 60gb is more expensive than both...I don't know if it's because they don't produce them anymore or if they have more USB ports or something, I dunno.

Are you sure you saw a 40 GB PS3 for £200? Your post is a bit confusing.

I've had a look at the Game website and other websites and I can only see the 40 GB PS3 priced at £300.

I've waited for about 3 weeks for you to reply to my post.

Are you sure you saw a 40 GB PS3 brand new for just £200? Are you sure it was not second-hand?

I've looked everywhere - the 40 GB PS3 brand new still sells for £300 at every retailer.

As far as I know, no retailer in this country is allowed to sell the 40 GB PS3 brand new for just £200. If Sony ever found out then Game could find themselves involved in a lawsuit.

If the price had genuinely dropped to just £200 then Sony would have to approve it first and then tell the retailer it's okay to sell it at that price.

But seeing as that has not happened (yet), the £200 thing you've just said has to be a lie. Either that or you bought a second-hand 40 GB PS3.
