OMG!!

I have just recently been promoted to division 1 in my frst season with manchester united and in the negotiation period i was looking for a player to replace roy keane who i sold to arsenal.

I was previoulsy playing Smith and scholes in the cente and they had formed quite a good partnership in divsion 2 but i thought i needed someone who could take charge of the midfield.
Despite all my efforts to sign lampard and riquelme i failed, i suddenly had an idea STEVIE GERRARD yes that was it so i put in a 30000 point bid which i thought they must accept and yet NO 40000 NO so finally i put in 55000 points and ACCEPTED.

That was my only signing as i had no points left lol.

I started my new season with GERRARD in the side played my first match against spurs and he was awful in fact im on mi fourth game and hes been rubbish I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!

The only thing is i cant afford to buy a new central midfielder and im not dropping him after 55000 points were spent on him.

my only fear is i think if i dont drop him i might end up back in division 2.

what do you think i should do? PLEASE HELP

I bought Ronaldinho in PES4, and to be frank, he was shite.

I spent 99999 or max points on him (stubborn cunt) and I couldn't believe what a waste he was.

I only buy unknown players now, some suprise me.

yea i like sticking to the unknown players or at least rather lame known players (hugo viana anyone?), really feels like your own team that way aswell.

i'd keep playing gerrard, he cant be that bad, just think about what your trying to do with him on the ball. keep things nice and simple and hopefully after awhile you'll get a feel of how to use him

It never seems to work buying the big players, like people have said you can buy the likes of Ronaldinho for silly amounts and they just don't have an effect at all.

About the big players, i bought Ronny on PES4 and he was bril in right midfield. Pacey, skilful, excellent set piecer (if Beckham was unavailable) and scored a few in open play as well.

Lampard was on fire for a season and finished second top scorer (centre midfield). I kept shooting from long distances with him and he would score a good few. But after a heavenly season his attributes worsened drastically and i sold his ass to Arsenal.

Shame i only play PES5 online. I haven't played a single Master League game.

I have now bought gerrard back into the side and changed mi formation he scored a great Goal cmon!!!!!!! 55000 he was worth

I remember back from PES2 that newly bought players need time to adjust.

Noticed their Teamwork stat which goes low when a player is bought and raises slowly with each match played. I assume it's still the same in PES5?

i find when you buy some1 new you want them to do to much but after they score or you get used to them been there you play with them as normal so they become alot better

happens with most of the players i buy
