The music is class :club:

Ah, you've brought back some fond memories there my man. If I remember correctly, you had to connect two playstations together in order to play multiplayer.
I might rumage through the attic someday, see if I can find all my old playstion games.

Haha, I was telling someone about that on msn the other day (Mat?) but I never actually connected 2 playstations together to play a game in multiplayer mode. The only other game I can remember that had that was the wwf arcade game that I got with my Playstation.

Incredible game for the Megadrive, I've played it in the last year or so and it is just as awesome. One of my favourite Sega games, no doubt.

Anyone remember this? I remember getting the sad ending and nearly bursting into tears when I was like 8, it was class.

Not sure how it was rated, but I rarely hear people mention it as one of the great games of the past, which it was. I never actually owned it, but I couldn't wait to go over to my cousin's house to play it. It was great working as a team.

Brilliant NES game. It was the first football game I ever played on a console (I don't know if Sensible Soccer on Atari counts). I loved the celebrations. It was the first time I saw a player that big in a video game.

And....

You could score some stunners in this game. As in Goal!, you could also spray some excellent passes, with curl. I'd love to play them again.

Absolutely great game.

I remember doing co-op mode with our kid, leaving him to beat up the bad guys while I battered shit out of the vending machines.

We occasionally used to fight each other for possession of guns, and then shoot each other when we got them. We did manage to complete it together once or twice.

Awesome game though, really good.

Now this game was absolutely fantastic. It has a really amazing happy feel to it. I really liked it. Came with my Dreamcast around the time of its release and it was the best thing ever.

Brilliant game. I rented it from Blockbuster and didn't realise Id put a cheat code into it which helped me complete it!

Apart from the stunning graphics, the game quite simply sucked balls.

Totally disagree. As you said the graphics are stunning and It makes for a very good multi player game.

Sure the lack of boxers, etc ruins it but it still is pretty top notch and it is truly sad that there will not be a follow up. Looks like its Don Kings game from now on ;)

From what I hear, there'll be a follow up.

My comments were over the top but there are a few things which bug me:

Career mode is rather lackluster imo, no world rankings, only one belt for each division and the pre-bout fights are shit and could be improved immensely.

Gameplay is good, but my only gripe is the counter punching system. When your punches are parried, it leaves you open for a barrage of combinations, where's the realism in that?

However, Fight Night is the perfect game for multi player mode and online.

I thought it was good. It was the first boxing game I played since Virtua Boxing 2 on the PS1, so maybe there wasn't much to compare to, but it was really enjoyable, but like McGregor said, it's better as a multi-player; same thing can be said about Tennis and Wrestling games, and other beat-em-ups.

I was excited that they were releasing another sequel for the GameCube, but when I played it, I wish I never had. They even ruined the battle modes :crymore:

Not the best football games, but I really enjoyed this game. Loved being Italy, because it had Di Matteo and Zola in the squad

Had that very game myself, was epic.

Everyone mocked this wrestling game when it came out, i remember first playing it around my friends house on copy and it took a while to learn the moves as it was in a sequence (e.g. Left, Up, Cirlcle for a Piledriver), but once we played it a few times the game was great. The entrances were really lifelike for that era of gaming, and the create a superstar mode was MAGINIFENCT!

Hell, i had more fun with this game than i have with PES2008!

I dont think i ever got past the 3rd course, but i used to play it for hours.

I remember one of the most pointless cheats in gaming history. If you were to press select 99 times (I think it was 99) then the guys voice would be sped up. "Cooool Borders! Go for it!"
