Game and other game only shops like to stick to release dates, scout the supermarkets from now, they dont care about set release dates for games.

My cuz works for Asda. He told me tonight that Asda have it on the delivery schedule for 7th October, he doesn't know if they are allowed to sell it then.

No; ASDA are pretty adamant about sticking to street dates(unless they have changed that over the past 6 months that I havent worked for them). I remember when we got the Harry Potter books in, about a week beforehand, we couldn't sell them. The only thing I remember going out early was the Extended Edition of Lord of the Rings:Return of the King, and we got a bollocking for it off our area managers.

Harry Potter was more hyped and well known than PES is though, I hate to say!

I'm presuming on the 21/10/05, konami-europe have it on the website. The official Ps2 & xbox release date is on there.. the pc version follows the week later.
If konami-europe announce this i'm presuming this is a european release date.. as already mentioned though.. on an electronic advertising board at bernabeu it said 20/10/05.. its around that date anyway. I've been making sure i have £30 in the bank around this date for when play.com take it out!! I hope this helps mate.

when the game was released last year i asked if their was any freebies with the game but they said because they shouldn't be selling the game there wouldn't be any until the official release date which was a week later on the 22nd or something.Trust me lads who still believe that the release date will be the 21st ring up on the 13-14th and game or hmv will be selling it.

Lol, don't kid yourself, Penyon only started supporting Clyde when they gave the Gers a fright. He supported Chelsea and Rangers last year, now it's Hearts and Arsenal.

Holland tend to get games a week earlier. If Spain get the game a day early, there will be no shock. Look when you want, of course, and if they say the 20th during advertising then look then, but different countries have different rules. PES5 may be one of the games this applies to, it may not. It may come out in Holland tomorrow, it might come out when the UK gets it on PS2 and XBox next Friday - although some places will sell it next Thursday. Game broke the release date for PES3 on PC and HMV therefore followed suit. You never know who will do it.
