Sadly to inform you but no, the USA version won`t have an online play. It`s obvious that Konami doesn`t care about American folks.. Europe gets the online play, now Japan who knows maybe WE9. Which if everything works well will be released in Feb/March 2006.

I don't think it was official yet, what I read on IGN was that on the preview version they played it wasn't there, though it doesn't look like it will have online, it shouldn't be to hard for Konami just to throw it in being they've already done it.
i also read ign's hands on preview and it sounds like the game may not have online access. but i'm praying that they do a last minute thing before it comes out on feb 1st. cause i'm tired of beating my cousin on we7. sounds like fun to play in leagues and tourneys.
