Turkey lost to Brazil by one goal - twice.
Not much difference there. Turkey have done better than England in a world cup a grand total of once it seems.
England beat Turkey 2-0 and THAT'S it for now.
Next match will be 1-0 to Turkey at half time and the final score will be 2-1 to England.

17 May 2000 Copenhagen. I was there. And I saw how Henry missed the header that van Nistelrooy would have scored even with his eyes closed and I saw how the ARSEnal fans looked like when the match was over. And that will be how the English will look like after the October 11 match. Sad, bitter and pissed off.

head is talking about how it's all beckhams fault that he always gets into scuffles in international matches but its not cos hes arrogant or cocky, its totally because people are jealous of him or know they will get a reaction by going in hard on him... you look at the macedonia match, in the first half he was taken down 4 or 5 times with fairly bad tackles which wuda been much worse had he not jumped every challenge. because he is such afamous player, opposition players will gang up on him, you see him being double-teamed everytime he's on the ball and he rarely is allowed time on the ball.
"who would put beckham in the top 10 players list, or even 20?" - i personally would put him in or around this bracket. he is a world class player with talents that no other player has. he is a truely unique player who cannot really be compared with anybody else - you can't base arguments on how much skill a player has or how many lollipops he would do in a match, but the quality and energy a player gives on the pitch. beckham's passing is 100% in the top 10 in the world - his range of passing, crossing and shooting is all up there with the very best of them.. just cos he can't beat a man for pace there is so much more to his game.
also, whoever pointed out about heskey and beckham holding the ball up in the corner for 3 minutes, i find it frustrating personally and i wudnt do it myself in a match.. but these things occur. look at 'the best team to watch in the premiership' last season - arsenal. ive seen henry and pires do this for about 4 minutes (remember the fa cup final?) they were in that corner for about 5 minutes!!!
they also did it in the confederations cup at some point so even the 'best' players do this tactic.

I agree that England are a better team than Turkey, but there is no need for abuse from either side! Jesus, boys we are talking about footie here! It really isn't worth shouting obscenities at each other, is it? There are bad elements within both English and Turkish supporters and I really can't see that everyone should be punished for the actions of some idiotic English or Turkish fans. The Turks have a great team, as do the English and the match on the 11/10 will be fantastic. If we manage to win I think it'll be 1-0 or something.
