Very Strange Problem ( Must See )

Hey guys, After my xbox got messed up because of GTA 4, Ive decided to buy PES 2008 on PC ( i have it on xbox 2 )
But! Ive installed the game, And the game is running SLOW,, Some laggs in it, But the whole strange part of it is, it says:
Recommended --> Windows XP, Intel Pentium IV 3ghz or a similair one, 512MB ram, 8x dvd rom station, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT/GS or ATI Radeon x1600 with DirectX 9.0c and 256mb VRam

AND I HAVE!!!!

Windows XP, Intel Pentium Dual Core 2,8ghz ( Rated At 5,6ghz ), 2GB Ram, i dunno my dvd station, NVIDIA GeForce 6800GT 512MB, And im using Directx10

So can anyone tell me what the problem is??

The point of that is?

In regard to your specs... if its 2.8ghz mate, it sounds as though its gonna be 2.8ghz.... not 5.6ghz...

That may be the reason but i dunno... have you lowered the graphics settings to see if that makes a difference? I ran PES 5 and 6 on 128mb ram and 128mb graphics card and they were fine on low quality...

You need to change your settings.

Go into program files of PES2008 and double click on settings.

From here change the detail, its either set to low, medium or high, I think it's probably set at high on your pc. Change it to medium. And possibly lower the resolution 1 or 2 down.

Naw.....

Your rig is more than enough to run PES 2008 and a Intel Core Duo @2.8 pisses all over a Pentium at 3Ghz.....even when only one core is being utilised (as is the case with PES2008).

However, sounds like you are running Vista.........heard that PES has a lot of problems in Vista....also heard people having problems running PES with dual core processors.

Also...what refresh rate is your monitor running at?

PES runs only at 60Fps and will not automatically swithc your monitor to run at the correct refresh rate. So u either run your monitor at 60Hz, or 120Hz, or you will get dragging and laggggggggg..

Well... I didnt talked about my Harddisk i guess... But .. i recently had a 250GB harddisk,, But it crashed.. and deu to No money AT THE TIME i put in my OLD 20gb Western Digital Harddisk in it... And i dont run Vista ... i run XP pro...

But i dont know if its the hard disk.. If it is .. Im buying a 250 GB end of the week..

PS... Im running my PES 08 at 640x480, No anti alliasing or something,, At lowest settings.. STILL LAGGING..

i think Matthecat ( iguess ) would know what the prob is... The guy that told 2.8 dual core pisses all over 3.0 ghz ... AND I TOTALY AGREEE

Well to find out how much room you have left on your computer, simply go to start, my computer and then highlight your local c:\...

On the left of the screen it will show you the details of that drive and how much gb's/mb's you have left on your comp

I would say if you have less than about 5gb out of your 20gb hard drive then that would be the reason why.

because i have 2.3 gb lest on my disk

I was having the same kind of problems, and I just installed an update fromthe Konami website, which sorted all the probs out. It's worth a try!
