Its PES4, XBOX version. Looks exactly like the PS2 version though, its someone @ a Game Convention recording the screen. He pans down to see the xbox controller.

Yeah, definitely an XBOX controller. We can assume it's being played on an XBOX ( ;) ). I don't think the gameplay on he video shows enough players in the box for it to have slowdown so you can't say for sure that there won't be any slowdown. But we can hope.

(yeah I thought wixon was sent off too.)

I think you should blame PS2 for the slowdowns. Konami said they reached the limits of PS2's capabilities, so I think with newer consoles with better capabilities you should have no slowdowns.

About the video: I think the players were way to agile; just watch the vid around the 50th second. The player turns more than 90 degrees is a very small space

Looks great! Over 2 min long, pretty good quality.

Thanks for the video.

It is xbox controller definitely, (old one unfortinatelly, dumbasses should use small S controller). What I have noticed is on substitution screen while one of the players is doing a substitution, on the part of the screen (bottom) of the other player there is clearly PRESS "CIRCLE" for SETTINGS, which looks like this is a complete PS2 port. Otherwise there would be "RED B" for xbox.
This is good news, they won't screw up something in the actual gameplay. :)

Not good enough quality to say whether it is better in graphics or not, but it's awesome anyway. And even if the graphics are "better" on xbox, it will only be slightly sharper (like on PC) since it is the same resolution as on PS2.

Also, it looks faster than WE8, and the ball appears to be smaller again. DAMN! Has anyone who played PES4 noticed the size of the ball to be different to we8???

Thanks...

Heh heh....we're down to ball size!! LOL...Keep it loose...long and hairy...

Would love to see what happens with the Xbox...it might persuade me to buy one and play Halo2 etc as well...having said that...need to work SOMEtime...so...bugger...not enough time to do everything...

But how did they convert the buttons? I have heared that X-Box-gamepad has only two shoulder-buttons, is that true? How do they use the R2 and L2 buttons?

It looks really fast compared to my PS2 WE8 I have at the mo, which is a bad thing imo. I like the pace of WE7/PES3 (a tiny, tiny bit slower would be perfect) so this arcadey type speed is just queer.

The xbox has exactly the same number of buttons as a PS2 controller:
2 Analog
D-Pad
4 buttons (Ps2=triangle circle/Xbox=A B X Y)

The xbox has 2 "Trigger buttons" while the ps2 has 4 back buttons
but the xbox also has 2 black and white buttons.

I could easily see them converting it:

For Xbox it could be:
L trigger change player / R Trigger Run
L Analogue Move / R Analogue Pass
A pass / B long Ball / X Shoot / Y Through ball
B & W skill

It has black and white buttons which act as the other two shoulder buttons, both Xbox and PS2 controlers have the same amount of buttons, so it shouldn't be hard to convert them other to the Xbox's controler!

I see, makes it not hard to convert indeed. Has somebody that Playstation 2 adapter?
I have seen the standard gamapads and they look a bit big for medium sized hands like I have :D

I do have one, bought it over the e-bay. It's great little device. However, new xbox controller (S Controller) is smaller, A LOT, then standard one and fits into hands perfectly. S controller now comes with the xbox when you nuy new one. I'm not sure whether they are making the old ones anymore.
Like guys already posted the conversion of buttons, I tried it on PC version of PES3 with xbox controller and it's awesome :)

No Mate, don't get it wrong. PES3 had almost twice smaller ball than WE7, and it looks like they are playing with ball for handball or volleyball not football.

It will be annoying if that's the case with PES4.
