It was a hard match where both defences played superb,with just one mistake from Paraguayans. Just when the match started Sukur made a great through pass for Sas,but Chilavert punched it. However,Sas took the ball away from Arce and scored the only goal in the match which took Turkey to the quarterfinal. Win against Brazil made Turkey stronger than usually and they deserved a minimum victory in this game.

Man of the match: Hakan Sukur(Turkey)

Next match is the real deal: Holland-Denmark!

Just a little luck for Homer's guys. But they didn't have it unfortunately. Holland had two posts and a bar hit from a freekick in this game. It's to bad that Holland is out so early,they played really good on this cup. But Denmark either didn't play bad. The only goal was scored with header from Sand. Tomasson centered from 40 m freekick and Sand jump higher than Stam. It's just one defense mistake. I only must mention a great freekick from Overmars when he hit the bar.

This is turning into an interesting tournament for the smaller teams in it. We've already seen Brazil and Germany crash out in the group stage, now Holland have gone and we're gonna see 2 more big clubs go out as Spain & Italy play each other and England & France have yet to play each other. Argentina have got a tough game aswell against Nigeria, could we see another upset...........

It was such a thrilling match. I really enjoyed it. lots of chances,good shots. Two things decided the match: confidence and Canizares. Penalties were great. There were six rounds and score was 2-1. Italians lost confidence at the end and Tomassi missed in sixth round. Thanks Lukazan for participating and Wixon is going to face winner of England-France match in the quarter finals. Man,what a draw!!!

This has turned into one hell of a tournament, even though Ukraine went out in the first round i have still kept up to date with whats going on and it is quite a thrilling yet surprising tournament! 10/10 so far!

The big match with France coming up!
In PES1, I used to beat France 6-0 and 7-0 most of the time but in PES2, they are very good. Maybe due to their pesky formation.

I'm going to play England V France tonight to maybe help my team win!!
