Volly & overhead kick

I am trying to do some spectacular goals but without any luck.

Is there anyone that can give a guide on how to make volly's and overhead kicks. Can these be created in purpose

1. is there a specific type of cross that is best?
2. it it the timing of the shoot button or the movment of the player with R2 button that makes the difference?
3. from where on the pitch is it best to make the cross?
4. Should the cross be forwards or backwards?

Any guide would be appreciated

thanks

Firstly there isnt really a specific cross. Its all timing.
I have been playing pro for years and i have only ever scored 1 overhead kick.I have had a few hit the bar and get saved but its all luck.
When the ball is behind your player and he has to turn hen he will attampt the overhead, its basically when it happens you will know what to do.

Volleys are the bit easier to do because it can happen more often. It is hard to hit a volley first time but it can be done aswell.Timing again is the important thing to remember. If a ball drops straight down on your player then you have a great chance to just bang it but if the ball comes at you say from a defenders header form a corner its very hard to hit it first touch.

I've scored a fair few over heads and volleys but it's just a bit of luck really. I often use double circle for my crosses

For an overhead kick, the cross needs to be slightly behind the player but again it is all about timing - pressing the shoot button at the correct time when the player is in the shooting position.

It also helps if your players have a high technique.

You are very likely to try an overhead kick if the ball is crossed from directly in front of the goal, going over the head of the striker, who is also in like with the goal. I scored a Bale one on 2 player (vs COM) as I just manouvred him to the 6 yard line, some defender player me onside and my teammate shot and I overhead kicked it in.

Volleys are annoying on PES 2008 - more than ever do players head it when miles out and it was possible to do a volley, and then they try a volley from a corner where they need to head it to win it and a defender gets there first.
