Fair. I'm not one of those who only can play PES or FIFA.
What is your opinion on the process from game to game?
One of the weakness in Fifa, is as i see it, that it can be very difficult to feel af difference between the teams you'll play against? I have been playing a career myself (AC Milan), and i was in the beginning feeling the same way as you do. Although as time went forward, i was beginning to see that it was the same ways i scored my goals everytime. The CPU did also play in the same way, and it was hard to see a difference between Juventus and a Serie B side.
I was playing on world class, with normal settings.
Well, if you play on full manual, your goals will be pretty much different each time. I've been playing like that since FIFA 08 (PS3)- but back then manual shooting was a bit ropey to say the least so I used semi-manual (or whatever it's called) for my shots. I never got FIFA 09 so from FIFA 10 I've been playing with manual shooting also.
Teams don't really vary all that much, but if you accept that it's a fun game to play. I like passing the ball around, and always try to vary my attacking. It really does make a difference though if you take the time to assign player instructions, tactics, and formations depending upon the state of play. I think I've only had about two or three games where the CPU has scored right near the end- I used to hate that about FIFA.
Don't forget that you can alter the slider settings, but I've just left them on default for the first time in a few years.
EA Sports could alter slider settings for individual teams, so that they play like they do in real life. I don't know though, is there really all that much of difference between most Premier League teams now they have so many foreign players? Individual teams vary their tactics and formations, they aren't necessarily predictable.
I find that Professional level with full manual is the best for me, I like to use patient build-up play, not a million miles an hour like some Premier League games. If I'm behind I will tend to play with more urgency though. I also play on the Slow speed. I try to play realistically, so I play a little bit quicker in the Premier League than in Serie A. People talk about pace and sprinting but the trigger doesn't always have to be pressed all the way in, I always vary the pressure on it.
I like the analogue sprinting- but I use it pretty realistically, not running around like a headless chicken.
