WE editing on a Mac

Ok, I have patched WE7I on a pc, so I am not a newbie to patching, but on a mac, I was wondering if anyone had success in doing so. P-matic has software for mac, but my trouble comes in created the .ISO image. I can copy DVDs (games) easily with Toast (no problems), but when I try to create the image to patch (WE7i/WE8 i.e.), It doesn't work. Anyone have success with mac's and patching this game?

I don't have a PS2 yet, though i'm plannig on getting one this month, however I do have a Mac, so if you tell me exactly what you're doing i might tell you if you're doing something wrong

Well, I can easily pop in a dvd ps2 game and copy it with Toast Titanum on my mac (g4 titanium notebook). But if I was to try to make an iso image of WE (for patching purposes, as I would do on a windows computer (successfully done so myslef)) It does not seem to work...a) applying patches and b) running the game. I am just wondering if anyone with a mac has created an iso file and patched it would be kind to explain to me the software and procedure to follow.

trry not to do a .iso, but a .dmg file using Disk Utility, don't do copy disc by copy and paste, do make image from a CD

Use the disk Utility Program & just creat an image of your DVD. It works 100% of the time. Once, you do that, if you can figure out how to actually pacth on your powerbook, please let me know :)

gchord - they have ppf-o-matic for mac...so patching on a mac is possible, I just ran into errors in creating the ISO...thanks for your tip on using the disk utility program. What would be great is to find a program that lets you edit the files i.e. ad boards and stadiums.

I have that PPfOMatic, but it never seems to work. I would love to find a program, like that AFS explorer for MAC, that would be ideal (if you come accross anything like that, please let me know & I'll do the same)

If you Mac guys are having trouble with PPF-o-matic (like I was), try gumby here:

http://gumby.misplacedmac.com/

It works great!

As for creating images using toast, I just go into the file menu, where it gives an option to save as a disc image (this is for toast 6 titanium).

Thanks,

Toper

so how do you get a disc image with mac's disc utility?
Just open disk utiliy & on the right side it should have the icons for your HD & the DVD you mounted, select the DVD & tell it to make an image & select "CD/DVD master" in the popup. Takes about 5-10 mins.
